Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

No schools are open, no theatres are open, gotta line up at many stores, can't eat in a restaurant, can't travel out of country, many businesses are still closed, millions still out of werk,...other than that it's pretty much the way it was before the Wuflu hysteria.
As for schools check you calendar, Hollywood hasn't made a good movie in decades, been eating restaurant food along and have been eating inside them for a month. You can travel out of country but you'll have to isolate.

Not that big of a deal.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Many more people are being tested positive , but how many are getting sick ? And how many require hospitalization? We really don’t see much of those numbers and as testing appears to be more readily available more and more are tested . Is there really another huge spike or are we just finding more unsystematic cases ?

I think the big problem with testing positive is NOT how sick you are BUT the likelihood of spreading it to other people!

No, the problem is with the mental midgets that figure if it doesn't effect them personally then it isnt a big deal.

That too! It runs rampant in all walks of life with all situations, second only to the other mental midgets who figure that rules apply to everyone else except them.

3 people close to me were tested positive after being symptomatic before and very early into lockdown.

A lot of people have had it prior to lockdown.

This shit first surfaced in China last August not late November as the lie goes.

Yes but originally we shut down our economy to prevent overwhelming hospitals . That didn’t happen . If others are getting infected but not sick what is the end game ?

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Schools and restaurants (and bowling alleys) are open here. Very few stores have line ups now. Actually when it comes right down to it, I have absolutely no desire to travel out of country. Most of these people who go flitting off to foreign lands, don't have an inkling about what is beyond the next hill.

Things are pretty well back to the new normal around this neck of the woods too, JLM. Our local resorts and B&Bs are open with certain restrictions and long lists of covid cleaning regs. (My list is 4 pages long and includes everything from changing the vac bag after each cleaning and wiping it down with disinfectants to doing the same for every single item that people would be touching - doorknobs, drawer pulls, window latches etc, etc). I'd say maybe 60% of the people are wearing masks or have them readily available. All the stores have their own covid regs - some won't allow anyone in unless they are greeted by an employee first while others have an employee outside to make sure everyone is social distancing. ( I finally gave up and joined a queue at Home Hardware the other day - I was 11th in line and pleasantly surprised at how efficiently the queue was handled.) All the stores have covid-reg warnings. All the stores have arrows and dots that channel folks and keep them correct distance apart. Only take-out food venues are open - but indoor restaurants are still closed. Even our libraries are running again which is great news for us bibliophiles - we simply go online and put a hold on any books we wish to take-out. The books arrive at our library, we get an email and go in to town to be met by a gloved and masked librarian who has our books in a paper bag.

So things are looking pretty darn good in our rural neck of the woods.

It seems to have worked well.

Was it a lie or was it just not recognized for what it was. Are the symptoms not flu like?

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

I think you'll get your answer to that by looking at Florida, Texas, Arizona and California.
Yes lots more people being tested and lots more tested positive. Stands to reason . How overwhelmed are their hospitals is the question .

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

My daughter works for a a heavy equipment finance company in Mississauga and since all of her work can be done over the internet and phone, when this covid shit broke out and she could not work from the office. all the employees of the company she works for started working from home with weekly staff meeting also over the internet.
She was starting to get cabin fever at home with just her dog all the time.
So I told her to come and work from here in Kapuskasing! Her boss was O K with that

Well before coming up here she isolated herself for three weeks getting her food delivered and everything.
She had to go back last week because some contractors were scheduled for some work in her house!
She'll be back in a couple of weeks after taking the same precautions she did before..

Maybe by September things will have settled down close to normal?

Testing people doesn't create any more positives! It just identifies them for everyone's benefit.

Thanks to our LIE-beral sponsored health care system it is QUITE POSSIBLE to be MISS-DIAGNOSED in any situation

where the disease is not well known and rushed doctors will very often make a snap choice and often take the quickest route!

As an example you should see if you can find a SARCOIDOSIS Support group with some older members

who suffered with this genetic based ailment back in the 1990`s!

It was QUITE COMMON in those days for Saecoidosis sufferers to be scorned by doctors because Sarcoidosis

LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE GOUT that the medical profession would assume you were a drunk and ignore you!

Of course once the internal bleeding got so bad that you needed blood transfusions to keep your heart beating

THEN they stopped the Gout talk!

Fortunately the major portion of the Cdn medical profession now knows and understands much more then they used to!

Wuhan Virus is still in that little understood and not clearly diagnosed stage!

With the ADDED BONUS that some international players WOULD MUCH PREFER TO LIE about the Wuhan Virus!

Hence the ongoing confusion!

With the additional bonus that many people can apparently carry the Wuhan Virus WITHOUT showing symptoms!

No wonder there is confusion!
