Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

I think there was a spike.
But this does bring up a point. There are one of 2 outcomes.
Outcome 1 the protesters are stupid (with regard to covid) and will cause a spike, In this case, why are the protests not being condemned? And why should the rest of us pay with longer restrictions for their stupididy?
Outcome 2 there is no spike. In this case one asks then why are there restrictions? If the protesters can get together in large groups without spreading, why can't the general population go to a concert or a restaurant?
I await the numbers in 2 weeks to see which case will prove true.

If there is no spike, or very little, would all agree that it is time to get back to normal?

Most are wearing masks. For status on the pandemic....check with your health officials.
It has been widely publicized that simply wearing a mask is no protection against the virus. Especially when people are shouting. Their virus laden sputum has the ability to travel well over 3m as it diffuses over a wide area. So much for masks.

Droplets from coughs and sneezes travel farther than you think

You are still better off with the mask than w/o it.

Pretty hard to keep anyone off the streets when Canada's Chief of Apologies and Opportunistic Photo-Ops breaks all his own and his Health Ministers' Covid-19 guidelines dragging his security guard with him to a protest.

I don't disagree, JLM - I wear a mask when I go to town. My point was it is no protection from the virus when one is stupid enough to find themselves in large gatherings where people are shouting and not social distancing. Respiratory particles can cover all parts of your body, face, clothing etc.

Covid news in Canada is pretty positive - but worldwide Sunday saw 136K new cases reported. Largest single day report ever.

Starting June 15 all passengers on ferry routes longer than 1/2 hour will be required to have a face mask.

They won't be selling them so you will have to bring one with you.

In Canada yesterday 59 people died from covid19.

14 in Ontario and 45 in Quebec.

Ontario and Quebec must remain sealed.

The epidemiologist behind Sweden’s controversial decision to forgo a mandatory coronavirus lockdown said “knowing what we know today,” the country would have taken a more restrictive approach.
No wonder, they have tracked higher they their Nordic neighbours and continue to track higher than Belgium.

Why do you keep comparing Sweden to its Nordic neighbours? There's no reason to do so other than to make it look bad (against just three other countries).

You could just as easily compare it to Britain, Spain and Italy.

Why do you never do that? And why do you think we're all stupid? Because I'm telling you now, I'm not.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

British Conservative YouTuber Mahyar Tousi has said he received death threats in response to his criticism of recent anti-racism protests.

Speaking to talkRADIO’s Mike Graham, he said: “It’s been absolutely crazy. From my perspective, over the last couple of days I’ve received a number of death threats and the Met Police are on the case for some of them because some of them are quite serious.”

Mr Tousi said he had been to Parliament Square to clean up after activists, where he saw others attempting to wash graffiti off Winston Churchill’s memorial.

During the demonstrations over the weekend, someone had written “was a racist” under the name of the World War Two Prime Minister.

Mr Tousi also accused the British police of being “too soft”, adding: “It’s the senior management and senior teams who over the last couple of decades have become so woke.”
