Unfortunately, the are not, pigs.

I am not a huge fan of the New York Times, but they come up with intelligent and respectable opinion columns usually, but not always. The sources that Walter uses tow the Trump narrative. I'm no fan of a site that that spreads 90% lies. However, that is what uneducated simpletons like to absorb in their pea brains.

The good thing about you, pigs, is your intelligence is slightly above average. I do not have to dumb down the conversation like when I attempt to converse with Walter.
Regardless if the are respectful and intelligent they are still opinion pieces and everyone is welcome to their opinion .

You get some protection but if someone with COVID sneezes in your face, unless you have covered your eyes with a shield somehow, you will be getting COVID. Masks do not protect your eyes which is why they don't completely protect you. If the other person was wearing a mask (properly) that sneeze would likely not reach you and you would be safe.
we know beyond any doubt that there are many people who could eat a covid 19 sandwich and ask for seconds.

they could and do carry it and never even know it.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

On the reopening of Canada and the Canadian economy - there is no way that Quebec or Ontario should be reopening anything. The rest of Canada is there and need to start doing it but the center of the universe has not gotten there yet.

Quebec and Ontario should remain isolated until their numbers would indicate they are making progress.

The sad fact is the what little decline they have managed to achieve is only because they have killed off most of their highest at risk people via their horrendous elder care.

If it were any other province than Ontario or Quebec they would not be allowed to reopen.

Not re-opening is really not something that is stopping people anymore. People sometimes social distance but there really isn't any widespread anymore from what I can see. At this point, just reopen everything and ride it out. I think people are pretty much done with the lockdown. Let's hope they used the time wisely to stockpile PPEs and increase hospital capacity.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-covid-19-sunday-june-7-1.5602146

latest Ontario numbers are 415 new cases. But only 192 are new and 223 are cases that were not reported earlier because the Ontario public health system cannot get he data from all the private providers in a timely (or accurate?) manner.

So 192 new cases in one day and much higher previous rates than have been reported.

This is bad enough but Quebec is much worse.

God only knows how many of them are going to end up dead.

It will be much worse in a couple of weeks once all the protesters start falling with it. And no doubt they will punish all of us for their stupidity.

Just like all those kids who partied in Florida in March.

I think there was a spike.

But this does bring up a point. There are one of 2 outcomes.

Outcome 1 the protesters are stupid (with regard to covid) and will cause a spike, In this case, why are the protests not being condemned? And why should the rest of us pay with longer restrictions for their stupididy?

Outcome 2 there is no spike. In this case one asks then why are there restrictions? If the protesters can get together in large groups without spreading, why can't the general population go to a concert or a restaurant?

I await the numbers in 2 weeks to see which case will prove true.

Don't hold your breath, the reasons are likely many and varied and a combination of both! :)

Very little to do with skin colour, a lot to do with income, adequate housing, ability to take precautions, access to medical care! :) Do some fact searching, Walter.
Read the article, it’s from an approved Prog source.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

The epidemiologist behind Sweden’s controversial decision to forgo a mandatory coronavirus lockdown said “knowing what we know today,” the country would have taken a more restrictive approach.

No wonder, they have tracked higher they their Nordic neighbours and continue to track higher than Belgium.
