Uhhhhh... yeah. Being forced makes all the difference in the world there bub. It's called oppression. They day hockey players are oppressed is the day I'll give your pathetic argument any merit.

So you agree we shouldn't force them to stop just as you agree we shouldn't force Muslims to remove their garb during a citizenship ceremony.

Good to know.

I'm thinking the Jewish practice of circumcising males.

Oh, and what of the barbaric practice of killing animals for food ?

That's the thing. There are a lot of barbaric things that go on in our culture but that's obviously not what they're referring. They want votes by appealing to people's prejudices against Muslims. When they say "barbaric cultural practices" we all know exactly what they are talking about.

Just because you endorse 12 year-old girls being forced into marriage doesn't make it unbarbaric.

**** you.

If the Conservatives win and they create this tip line, I would be interesting to see what actually gets reported. These hate-baiting tactics have worked. They are clearly pushing more of it.

I'd forgotten we already have a tip line........

Documents reveal 92 per cent of calls to existing RCMP terror tip line are 'non-sensical' or 'unrelated'

The federal Conservatives continued to insist this weekend a new snitch line for people to report “barbaric cultural practices” to police is needed, even as evidence emerged the RCMP’s existing tip line for reporting suspected terrorism acts yields mostly bunk calls.

From 2012 through 2014, more than 3,000 people called the RCMP’s National Security Tip Line, but the vast majority of calls — about 92 per cent— were classified as “non-sensical” or “unrelated” to public safety, according to a summary obtained by the National Post through access-to-information legislation.

The tip line, which has been in place for many years, is intended for people with information “regarding terrorism, criminal extremism or suspicious activities which could pose a threat to national safety and security,” the RCMP website states.

But only 266 out of the 3,332 calls received by the Mounties from January 2012 through October 2014 concerned national security, the internal records show. RCMP officials were unable to say Friday how many of the tips led to investigations or arrests.

Conservatives' #BarbaricCulturalPractices pledge stirs reaction

The Conservatives on Friday pledged to establish a tip line for reporting "barbaric cultural practices" to the RCMP, bringing a good deal of reaction on Twitter under a hashtag coined by Kellie Leitch.

Leitch and fellow Conservative candidate Chris Alexander said a re-elected Conservative government would establish the tip line and would increase funds to help international organizations stop forced marriages of young girls.

"The Conservative government is not afraid to defend Canadian values," Leitch said at a press conference in Ajax, Ont. "By contrast, (Liberal Leader) Justin Trudeau and (NDP Leader) Tom Mulcair are more worried about political correctness than tackling these difficult issues that impact women."

Leitch, the Conservative candidate for Simcoe-Grey and the labour minister and minister for the status of women in the Harper government, tweeted ahead of the announcement with the hashtag #BarbaricCulturalPractices

Good to know.

We don't force muslims to their garb during citizen ship ceremonies. They are free to go back to whatever hell hole they came from if they don't want to adopt Canadian culture.

**** you.

We ate talking about things like FGM. But since the muzzie terrorist lovers are all male it is OK. not barbaric or cultural but religious.

So, in other words, you do the thing you just said you didn't.

No, they have a choice. Adopt Canadian values or don't come here.
