I know the stats, Goober. They don't support your position.
Try this...
The bottom 20% in Canada earn only 1% of the income.

Cannuck is right. The public sector worker often trades income for security.

I used to work in the private sector and took a pay cut when I moved to the public sector. I gave up income for a better lifestyle and time with my kids. I get a kick out of people that think the public sector is a gravy train.

You went from a job with little security and where you had to produce to keep your job with probably far less benefits to one that only requires you to show up breathing to get paid and it is guaranteed for life unless you really screw up. It also depends just where you are in the pecking order how much better public pays than private. When productivity is factored in public is way higher paid.
I worked for DND for a while as a mechanic and could not take the level of incompetence and lack of work ethic and the cost of doing even s simple repair and had to go back to the real world.

That would be the ones working in fast food, hotels, and tourism. The same skill set working for the government pays about double plus a solid gold pension and benefits plan and not have to work near as hard. Look at the PSAC pay scale.

Nope

Guaranteed for life? That would be great if it were true. In fact everything you say would be wonderful if it were true. Unfortunately, I don't live in your fantasy land.

What do you consider a solid gold pension?

Ford is fuked up beyond all comprehension...and I don't mean in a funny haha kind of way...if he doesn't not get help he will be dead or hospitalized against his will. This isn't just the left attacking him for s hits and giggles...It is not just an attack on his personal life...that is minimizing it.

I think you are absolutely right, Sal, his physical health is precarious at best, I'd be surprised if he lasts another 10 years in his present condition. However that is not a reason for the likes of the forum dweeb to keep denigrating him.

To cut through the bull sh*t, the employee by and large sets the pace in the public sector. Many of the employees are hard working with a good work ethic, who are conscious of giving the taxpayer a "fair shake". The main weakness lies with many middle level managers and employees under them who if they are determined to “F**k the dog” can easily get away with it.

Money is a powerful attraction.
He hasn't got enough money!

Well sitting out here in BC where we have had more than our share of colourful politicians
Yes one of the last got a drunk driving charge while vacationing in Hawaii. Then sold us to Harper pretty cheaply after promising he wouldn't. He however didn't make American news day after day for a week or more.

Any defined benefit plan.

Did he make the American national news day after day?

No idea but he did sell out the people that voted for him before all the votes were even counted.

And then went on to sell out the BC forest industry.

I'd say he is certainly the political front man for what they (City Council) deems Mayor in name only. Must be driving the hardcore haters nuts.

No point in having a battle of wits with an unarmed combatant.

Oh come now!! You're just being petty and showing your jealous nature because some people are doing better than you. Rather than complain, why don't you try working harder. That's how I got ahead.
