Gopher, they basically hurl every epithet at Obama they can come up with, without thinking. Obama is probably causing plenty of nervous breakdowns in the ranks of the right and the far right.

For this and for every ill under the sun we must henceforth always say,

BLAME OBAMA!
BLAME OBAMA!
BLAME OBAMA!

After all, God wills it so according to the far right which is never wrong.

An old thread honoring Obama for being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Kind of funny isn't it?

Is SJP still among us in another guise?

He may peek in from time to time but I don't think he's posting (there are a couple of others who post who are just as obnoxious if not more so, but they can't replicate that "S.J.P. style".)

I'm curious as to why you think Obama is a war criminal. Is it the drone bombings in Pakistan? You could make parallels with that and, say, the bombings of Laos and Cambodia, a war crime orchestrated by another Nobel Peace Prize laureate. But maybe you have something else in mind.

When people get emotional nothing surprises me. It was only a couple of years ago people were saying (not intelligent ones) that George Bush was a bigger war criminal that Saddam Hussein.

I never said that.

It was a question.

It is kind of like a "How do you like it!" moment now. Somewhere along the line we heard something about CHANGE.

Karma.

Part of the reason why George W Bush lied or misconstrued the evidence in making his case for the war in Iraq was because of international law, to avoid the technical war crime of engaging in an unauthorized aggressive war against a sovereign member of the United Nations. They made the legal case that they were enforcing UN resolutions the UN was refusing to enforce. Saddam Hussein had two unauthorized aggressive wars under his belt by then, as well as a couple of attempted genocides. Bush's worst crimes were through incompetently handling the post-invasion and allowing the humanitarian crisis that unfolded. But the United States' worst crime in Iraq, I think, is invading it 12 years too late, which was more a failing of the United Nations really.

Oh, that's going to piss off some people I'm sure.

I know you didn't. My question was directed at EagleSmack.

Karma.

I'm afraid I don't follow you.

Not pissed off. I don't think he lied but I think he was mistaken. Worse than that he should never had hung his hat on WMDs. He should have gave a whole list of reasons why.

The pressure of of his Dad NOT going all the way to Baghdad during Desert Storm was probably one reason why he did it. If you can remember all of the liberals and Democrats here in the US blamed his dad for not finishing the job. Then they blamed Bush for finishing the job. Then they blamed Bush for not striking into Pakistan... then they blamed Bush for striking into Pakistan when he did.

So you can see why Obama is taking a beating these days.
