I'm more bothered that they chose to come here so soon after their wedding. They should at least given us a year to recover before abusing us again.

Will had a grand time today flying a Sea King helicopter around and doing water landings in PEI. Looks like the Islanders are out in droves, in not so sunny weather, to welcome the couple.

Not to worry....... they must have sensed your attitude , and are not bothering to come west (Vancouver) . The coast would have been a lovely place for them to see , maybe doing some Skiing here in Whistler and having a bit of a honeymoon style visit.

No one is forcing anyone to "adore" them or 'worship" them. They are who they are by accident of their birth. And that happens to be to a family that has one of the longest traditions and ceremonies in history.

They are nothing but human figure heads. but they connect Canada to its histor;y and the bonds with the UK.... another place with long & rich history.

Not sure it is wise to toss away these ties .........as look at the US. They go crazy over Royalty. They salivate over the fact that W&K are dropping in there at the end of this tour. Many wish they had such tangible ties to history.

Connections are not a bad thing. Just sayin'

the thing is that this is not the most important issue amongst all the REAL problems the world has.

If they'd come two weeks earlier they could have gotten themselves an armful of men's pants from Black & Lee!

Photos of W&K in PEI

CBC.ca - Image Gallery - The royal tour: Highlights from P.E.I.

seems that the activities chosen for their participation in are extremely well selected and highl relavent to them.

Tour seems to be going swimmingly. They demonstrate more confidence and ease all the time.

Interesting how they operate like a well oiled two some. In sync . Without one over shadowing the other. (as was the issue with his parents ) She is respectful of his role without portraying herself as subordinate by any means.

Well done !!!!

Pretty sure they would have handled that with their usual aplomb.

Prince William and Kate bid farewell to P.E.I.

Seems like the "royals" had a good time in PEI......... doing things that are close to their hearts .

Like the events that have been planned for them as they traverse the country. Youthful in theme......yet with enough time for the more formal "royal" type activities.

Wonder how many hands they have shaken to date. They seem to do it in a genuine and spontaneous fashion which makes them even more appealing.

Prince William rules the waves but Kate Middleton looks simply 'oarsome' | Mail Online

sweet !!!

What's even sweeter is that when they are here in Calgary, the Calgary Stampede Marching Show Band will be doing a command performance for them. The kids are going to be over the top.

AWESOME. (brings back wonderful memories from the time I lived there. ;-)

I read an item about a lady(s) decided to make some mini stetson hat (Calgary style) fascinators....... as a take off to Kate and the wonderful selection she wears.

I think that is just BRILLIANT. Apparently they are selling out so fast , they can't make them fast enough. I also saw this on the telie. and they are just too cute.

I will try to find the link to that news tid bit and post it.

As one commentator indicated.........with the world press following their every move...... Canada is being showcased to the world too. That in itself is worth the bucks spent.

That can only help to let the world know about the things we do here and how beautiful this country is.

Talking about advertising for Canada, next year is the Calgary Stampede's hundredth birthday. Huge celebration. This visit should be REAL good for next years stampede.

I'm sure they will enjoy it too. Hope that she gets one of those cowboy hat fascinators that are all the rage in Calgary at the moment.

Today, they spent a few moments chatting with the media. A whole new style for the "royals"......and lots of changes from the stuffy protocol that determined their behavior in the visits before.

a new generation indeed. and they are creating their own unique footprint.

Good for them.

Kate's pretty good looking. Her husband's ok, but his father looks like doggie doo.

that is a bit unkind. Like folks have a choice about how they look. ( unless they have massive cosmetic surgery done and become nothing more than another plastic face . )

Looks are not everything.

The only really good looking "royal" is Peter Philips. Princess Anne's son who is married to Canadian Autumn. (they have a little girl now ) HE is a real LOOKER. Zara-his sister is pretty too. (getting married July end to Rugby player. . ( Mike Tindell)

Catherine is developing quite a dazzle even with her conservative style. Quite beautiful and very photogenic.
