The tax funds don't go toward federal services or Trudeau.

The rate is set by the federal government (if the province didn't set its avenue for carbon pricing by the deadline date) but the revenue is collected provincially and put toward provincial projects at the whims of the province's government of the day.

Stay away from QAnon.
Adjusted after tax credits are purchased from foreign countries, and the administration fees are taken out

I say send all those that want green to go live in a homeless shelter in Texas. They could use their body heat to help warm the place up.

Imagine you're dumb enough to believe Texas has gone green.

This is why faux news is dangerous.

Uh oh spaghettios.

Will Erin O’Toole embrace a carbon tax? Some of his MPs are worried he will

OTTAWA—There are growing concerns within the federal Conservative caucus that leaderErin O’Toole will move the party towards accepting a carbon tax, the Star has learned.

O’Toole has promised a robust climate policy, and has embraced the Liberals’ goal of net zero emissions by 2050. O’Toole has ruled out maintaining the Liberal government’s existing carbon tax.

But multiple sources told the Star that Conservative MPs are in the dark about how the party will actually achieve that net-zero goal without introducing carbon pricing — a policy that has been long vilified by the Conservatives.

*AHEM* And yet on Feb 3rd 2020, the Parliamentary Budget Officer said the Canadian government could expect to collect C$2.81 billion ($2.12 billion) in direct revenues in 2019-20 from its current price on carbon. Or this; The Canadian government will collect billions of dollars in direct revenue from its federal carbon pricing system over the next four years. And ultimately, why would the Fed issue the carbon tax rebate if the provinces are keeping all the revenue?

Apparently the Flosstard thinks the Parliamentary Budget Officer belongs to QAnon.

Common sense and reality f*cking contradict Prince Groper and his Gropettes. Canada needs to face up to the fact that Prince Groper has f*cked Canada up far worse than his old man did. The two of them are/were nothing more than commie symps with a nasty streak of Quebec Nationalism.

Yes they collect revenue and distribute it back to the provincial governments proportionally.

Where carbon tax revenues go after they are collected doesn’t really matter, the whole point is to make carbon-emitting more expensive. We’ve ignored the science for decades while the signals of environmental decline abounded, at this point a smart slap right in the wallet looks to be the only thing that’s going to work. Canada’s current carbon tax rate is in the neighbourhood of $30/tonne CO2. In Sweden, where carbon taxation has been in place for three decades, and emissions have dropped steadily and their economy has grown steadily, the current rate is equivalent to $160/tonne. We’re just getting started in Canada.

But your friends and neighbours did .
Not around here. We had a conservative MP for many years. Then the boundaries changed and we have had the unfortunate result of a NDPee MP. I don't recall a Liberal on my end of the island in the over 40 years I have lived here. Not sure about down south.

Of course , but we still live in Canada and a preponderance of our friends neighbours and country men lend the liberal party their ears . It has never gotten us anything but servitude, but what can one do other then pay what is due .
