He and others have done so. The points he and others made were clear. I wonder if you argue just for the sake of argueing?I invite you to actually respond to one of my posts on the topic if you want to keep posting.

Going through this thread the only ones arguing for the sake of arguing are the ones adamant to tell the guy to fukk off to google instead of answering a simple question.
How inclusive.

Yeah sure thing. Guess some of us have just tired of playing the same old game with Fluff.

There are two ways of keeping debt in check.
1. Sacrifice
2. Inflation.
Which route did Flaherty take even though it went against the boss' wishes?
The guy asked a pretty honest question and you all lynched him.

Yeah that's what we did. He asked a lot of questions, but little else.
Sorry Tay, we're still feeling the effects of Trudeau's finance ministers in the 70s. Now we have taken steps forward and backwards since then, but that is really where Canada's issues originate. Its disingenuous to claim that others attempting to work with that burden are to blame more. Now its all about laying a ground work where our economy can grow and we can pay a lot of it off (i.e. like we did in the 90s, thanks to policies put in place during the 80s).
They say it's going up to 20 degrees today.
If you paid attention to how Canada is being developed which BTW was started by the Libs and handed to the Cons to carry that torch which Jim did very well.It is hard for me to really view debt reduction as one of his legacies. He oversaw the largest deficit in Canadian history, and since then he has really just been slowly pulling back the things that created the deficit in the first place.
Granted, I know that a large deficit was necessary at the time. I am just saying that this narrative you are painting doesn't seem to fit. It seems like his legacy is more one of knowing when to spend even if it doesn't fit with your core party beliefs.
Are you sure it's not +0C? Anything 0C and up is a +.-0 C here!

We are in the midst of something 10X the scale of the CPR being built over 125 years ago.
This project has spanned and will span several Lib and Con Parliaments over the past 30 years and the next 30years.
Are you aware of the names of those projects and the future economics of Canada?
