but anyway kids...

This may have no relevance ..... but the chair of the Trudeau campaign is Katie Telford.

Her hubby is Rob Silvers, the frequent 'guest' on the CBC's ' Power and Politics'.

Katie likely did not know that the guy she worked with every day was also working for Trans-Canada.

She would have never mentioned it to her husband, and it would not have come up while they were discussing tactics to put the Liberal party into power.

The CBC would not have been aware of the relationship between the three.

Apparently no-one is connected with anyone, because if it was we would have heard about it.

If they can rig the election why not just rig the polls also?

They give a general impression of the landscape and that's why you go with aggregates instead of just picking the ones you like as someone here likes to do.

If polls, even late ones, were reliable, it’s President Dewey, not Truman in 1948. Wild Rose takes Alberta in 2012, George Smitherman might be mayor in 2010, John Major never was prime minister of Britain, and Benjamin Netanyahu is retired to his library.

“I always lose the election in the polls, and I always win it on election day,” the Israeli prime minister said, after winning again last March.

You trust polls at your peril.

I agree.

When Harper called the election, this tricky longest ever affair, he was leading in the polls....and you Conservatives were bragging about it.

Here, I will give you another example of polls in Canada. The Liberals in BC were 22% behind the NDP when the election was called in 2012. The media said they could never catch up, the polls said they could.

I believe the premier of BC today is one Cristy Clark of the Liberal Party, with the same people doing the design work.

The Tories, in their smug created paranoia over played their hand, too much hate advertising, FFS, now, without a hint of a presence in Vancouver Center they are robo-calling....haranguing voters about "Justin" and pot stores on every corner.

I was going to sit this one out till they got stupid and desperate, now I figure I've converted 100 "Stop Harper" votes....who WILL vote.

Never thought when this marathon election stated you Tories would be hoping for a lousy turn out. That was fast 180 and time to lose the smug

Don't count the Conservatives out as far as a majority gov't goes. All these advance polls are the result of possibly a thousand samples, even if they are an indication of the popular vote, there's no way there's enough information to predict # of seats. When it comes down to the nitty gritty I doubt if everyone who says they will is really going to vote for Jr. He'd probably do O.K. running for student's council of a rural high school.

There's a silent majority Harper is far from being defeated.

Northern Ontario,
People who are single, or both partners work are against Harper simply because they are jealous that income splitting benefits only single income families with a stay at home wife or husband......You should how flossy was crying about that....not too long ago.....

If I were in your place, I would not elect anyone.
The one whom you elect will be your responsibility, and the sin will be on your necks.
To me, I did not participate in any local election here, because I know all their programs are corrupt, and all parties are evil and devils. :D

Me too, I won't vote untill The Bank of Canada has been liberated and this country starts issueing it's own money instead of borrowing from filthy usurers and criminals like the BIS and the international criminal bankers.

I'll just be a bit happier when the entire charade is over with and we can hear the usual news about Miley Cyrus doing this, the Kardashians doing that, Kobe hooking up with whozit, etc. and be entertained about street shootings, wars, and so on.
(I know you folks don't minds extreme sarcasm, but my apologies anyways).

Majority? Really? Are you that delusional?

Last time round less than 50% of eligible voters actually cast a ballot. Of those 7.5 million people only less than 40% voted for Harper. So your "majority" is actually about 2.8 million people. Now please explain to me how 2.8 million becomes a majority in a country with 17 million eligible voters.

This is also a fine example of just how broken our system is that Harper could get a majority govt with 38% of votes cast and 16% of the eligible voters support.

Problems with the electoral system?
Problems with candidates?
Problems with peoples' interest?
Given more time, I can likely think of more reasons.

The golden rule states that whoever has the gold makes the rules. Changing the rules would require the blessings of the ones that have the gold. Good luck with that.
