According to Rosemary Barton, it looks like opinion is fairly evenly divided on it. 47% for, 49% against, so I guess Justin is fairly convincing!

Bombing worked.
You'll notice I said conventional bombing in my original post. I'm sure you're not suggesting we just lob nukes at trouble spots.
The simple fact is, conventional bombing wrecked more of Japan and killed more civilians than the two nukes. And it wasn't so much the nukes as the fact the Japanese had absolutely nothing that could reach the altitude of a B-29 on a nuke run.

Hard to get a firestorm going where the buildings are mud. This is the machine responsible for a convoy being taken out in one take,

You knuckle draggers seem to have forgotten that the planes were only there for a specified time, thats pretty much up so the argument is moot. But you mouth breathers go ahead and rant about nothing. Arseholes
You're the funniest angry dude I know.

None really, all things considered.

But that's because no govt wants to be the bad guy. They don't want to have huge death tolls to explain to their respective populations on the evening news.

In short, they're playing war, not waging one.

Of course not. I'm suggesting SAC bombers carpet bomb any area in which ISIL is operating. Before Air Cav units move in, sweep for meat, set up FOB's, for Mech and Infantry to follow into. Bomb move forward, rinse repeat as necessary.

The objective is the complete annihilation of ISIL and resistance from any LIP. There will be massive collateral damage and loss of life. That's what happens in war.

Remember when the conbots kept quoting the U.S. secretary saying coalition members needed to step it up? They loved that quick soundbite, implying that taking the planes out was under direct scrutiny and that was clearly a black mark on Trudeau and Canada.

Welp....

U.S. applauds Canada’s new mission against ISIL

The U.S. has headed off a potential controversy by giving the Liberal government a thumbs-up over its plan to stop bombing ISIL in Iraq and Syria, and instead concentrate on military training, diplomacy and aid.

“The secretary sees these as significant contributions,” Cook told reporters, “and he appreciates the decision by the Trudeau government to step up Canada’s role in the campaign at this critical time.”

Carter said two weeks ago there should be “no free riders” in the U.S.-led coalition fighting ISIL. While his comments were largely aimed at Turkey and some Arab states, critics of the Liberal government suggested the comment could apply equally well to Canada.

“If you think Canada is a free rider because we are not participating anymore to the airstrikes, then Germany is a free rider. And Italy. And about 50 members of the coalition,” Dion said. “This is not the case.

Maybe in the past, these days targets can be singled out and the civilians are ISIS supporters rather than Assad supporters. The news clip from France promoting pin point targeting is footage of a Russian operation. The US and it's Allies are famous for destroying civilian infrastructure and hitting civilians rather than ISIS.

Canada's mission was scrubbed in part due to targeting errors when they were not hitting ISIS but people were still dying.

I feel the bombing the hell out a whole country to wipe out a minority of it rather stupid. All it does is turn out more terrorists.
How?? Explain how I was wrong. Where are all the skin heads now, and how much influence do they have today. Oh and Japan....it managed, an island nation, to become a very successful world nation.
Thank you for explaining how you were wrong, lol.
