The War of 1812 was not a Canadian victory. It was a British victory. The country didn't exist as Canada until 1867.

The last battle, Lundy's Lane, had a formation of around 1200 Canadian Militia ... fully trained by that point and they made up roughy a third of the Redcoats that won the day. Just at the very end of the war, though. Had it continue, there would have been more and more Canadians in the fight as that was the plan.

In Lower Canada, the troops under DeSalaberry who routed an American force that outnumbered them about twelve to one, were all French Canadians.

All you had to was say "Boo!" to the Yanks and off they ran, back to Kentuck.

No doubt, the Americans gave each and every one of their defeated soldiers lots of medals, as they still do today.

We had to cross a great wall to do it, though.

Canadians have a lot of experience casually crossing borders. It's why the Mongols recruited us in the first place. Just grin and speak in a folksy way "oh just popping over to get some milk and gas, eh," and the next thing you know Genghis Khan's flipping over your table, loudly gnawing on a leg of lamb and wiping his greasy hands on your silk tapestry.

Canada did not exist as a country until 1867.

Canada was a province which comprised what is now Ontario and Quebec. Upper and Lower Canada (colonies) were merged in 1840 to form the province of Canada. In 1812, the colony of Upper Canada formed militias, but they weren't Canadian. They were British. There was no such thing as Canadian citizenship. You were a Brit. The units were made up of locals - most of British origin. They would have been farmers, tradespeople, and local natives.

The mongols know best because they've been doing it the longest.

The only difference between us and them is that we don't abduct the smart people of America and force them to live in Ottawa for the rest of their lives...

I suppose the Canadian troops could cook, or clean, or do something like that to support the real soldiers.

you won't even be there - you have a desk job
;)
in a hotel most likely

The Chinese and North Koreans estimated that about 390,000 soldiers from the United States, 660,000 soldiers from South Korea and 29,000 other UN soldiers were "eliminated" from the battlefield.[278]
Recent scholarship puts the full battle death toll on all sides at just over 1.2 million.[279]

good for you
you might find it scary over there

Actually, that's not right, either. My family was (and still is) living in the middle of the war zone on the Niagara frontier. They were largely from the United States ... some UELs and lots of late Loyalists. A great, big part of the military power of the region was Mohawk ... the forgotten army that won so many battles. They were also refugees as their homeland is on upstate New York. The British were very thin on the ground. Another part of my family were recently evicted Jacobite Scots and they sure as hell had no love of the Crown. As soon as the American militias started their scorched earth campaigns, people like them knew what side they were on and they fought under the Union Jack despite a loathing for England.

Like it or not, the inhabitants of Lower Canada called themselves Canadien and the term spread westward during that war and because of that war.

Unlike the US, Canada has never started a war, but in every war it has ever entered it has ended up on the winning side and that includes:

The Boer War
World War I
World War II
The Korean War
The First Gulf War
Afghanistan - in which Canadian casualties per capita were much higher than that of the US. BTW that was also true for World War II as well.

And I am talking actual wars here, not the scores UN Peacekeeping missions Canada also entered.

I'm only listing post 1867 wars here. But if you want to go back far enough there was the Canadian victory in the War of 1812.
So. . . you're saying the U.S. lost these wars, and Canada won them.

Tell me more. You're funny.

Yes the combatants of the war of which we were part would be called on to resume.
No it won't be nukes All the major powers want a conventional war to test their new
weapons at someone's expense besides war creates jobs. Healthcare and education
are just a waste of money when you can have a non inflationary war. The blood thirsty
American Empire based on economic colonialism is itching for a war with someone

Yup, and why not the North Koreans? Ain't like they're human or nothing.

Pretty much the same way you feel about Americans.

And don't even bother to deny it. You talk about Americans the way Klansmen talk about blacks, or Nazis talked about Jews.

I don't hate Americans I just bitterly disagree with the far right in any debate
There are times when the left is now better. I just wish the American view of
the world had others sometimes at the center of it and right now the American
agenda is nuts and dysfunctional.and what says we have to do anything right
now about Korea? China is going to defend the North Koreans to protect their
buffer. Russian influence from the North and Japanese and American interests
from the south.
As for hating Americans I don't hate them I have many relatives on both sides of
our family who are Americans. I have many friends who are Americans. The
Problem is all too many of them are boasting about being the best and they may
have to prove those statements because of a sociopath madman who holds the
highest office

Plain or peanut?

I like the almond ones but they are hard to come by.

So Canadian Forces are already in Syria, Jordan, Latvia, Ukraine and doing naval exercises with the same battle group Dr Evil is sending to Sea of Japan.

Guess what. We are already involved.

They can kiss my azz I'am goin to die in the Nova Scotian boreal forest smoking my own weed and drunk and hopeing the Koreans get thier shjt together.

The solution to modern worlds problems is obvious, eliminate the Yankees who refuse to admit thier guilt in the carnage of the last century. They test the tolerance of mankind and nature. Thier reward will be war and pestilence evermore. They are powerful they will make a big hole when they go.

The planet has decided to turn on the oppessor. It wil be televised.

No, you are going to die in Quebec City, in the rain, surrounded by non-English speaking homeless people, who will rummage through what meager possessions you have, tucked in an old shopping bag.

Nearby, two Inuit women will appear out of the shadows, throat singing. They will be waiting for their turn to dig through your shopping bag.
