"Conservatives however, are permanently on their soapbox, lecturing others how they should live moral life (no homosexuality, no abortion, no premarital sex, no pornography, no gambling, sons must not be taught to do housework or to cook and so on). So when conservatives do something immoral (and they often do), it is immoral and it is hypocrisy."

Patent bullsh*t...............................................LOL

Idiotic remarks like this is how rumours get started.

lol... I can name at least one 'liberal', whose constant lecturing, hypocrisy, and general attitude of superiority, led me to put them on iggy. Which leads me to find comments like this humorous.

The fact is that Barney Frank's boyfriend ran a prostitution ring out of the (D-MA) Frank's apartment in Washington. Barney said he had no idea that his apartment was a wh--- House.

Would you know if your house was being used as a wh--- house?

Would you think that is cool?

My recollection was that Rep. Barney Frank had a boyfriend that claimed to some news media that he was running a prositution business and that Frank knew about it. And then, the House Ethics Committee invesitgated and, in addition to finding that Frank broke rules by hiring a love interest to work for him, the boyfriend's claims of prostitution were found to be dubious. Like, the boyfriend contradicted his story under sworn testimony and the story was contradicted by other people.

And then it went to a "he said/he said" kind of thing.

Liberals and conservatives are both moralists. It's just they have different morals. A liberal might argue the Iraq War is immoral, while a conservative might argue that gay marriage is immoral. I do think that many liberals don't have a sense a moralism with sex. Therefore, they don't get called hypocrites over it very often.

I remember liberal columnist Carl Rowan, a strong supporter of gun control was caught with an illegal gun in his possession. He was properly ridiculed for being a hypocrite. But such examples are rare. It is mostly conservatives who are guilty of hypocrisy, and mostly in matters related to sex.

Those who claim to be conservative or liberal are narrow minded bigots who despise anybody who disagrees with them. The majority of people vote for who will screw them the least.

I'm curious - what's so nasty about the term 'tea baggers'? I'm somewhat of a worldly woman, but I've never heard the expression 'tea baggers' as being one that was nasty! What? Is it that I'm Canadian and have missed something? Silly ole me, I just thought that 'tea baggers' was just an expression describing someone who was a member of the Tea Party - kind of like (and I know some will not appreciate this);'Dead Heads' are people that follow the Grateful Dead.
So what's the big deal??? It seams like these really serious conservatives know more about the 'nasties' than a lot of us other people. How come - do you research more? Is the 'nasty' stuff more important? Do you read more into it?????

As I mentioned before, the term "Tea bagging" is a slang term for putting a guys scrotum in your mouth.... or otherwise dunking your scrotum into something.

As an example, while I was in college, a friend of mine and I went into class late at night to work on our projects after smoking a big doobie and another guy there always had a box of cookies or crackers by his computer and usually drank a 2L bottle of Coke each day.... being baked and bored, my friend thought it'd be a good idea to "Tea Bag" his box of Triscuits.

He laughed to himself, turned away, took the box, unzipped his pants and dunked his doings into the box of crackers and then put it back where it was.

The next day, I came in, sat down, then the guy in question came in, sat down, logged into his computer, placed his 2L bottle of pop on the table and reached for the Triscuits. Me being the nice guy I am figured this wasn't right, so I said "Hey T. just so you know, R. tea bagged your triscuits."

Obviously he didn't know what it meant either, looked at me and said "Oh yeah?" and then turned back to his crackers and started eating them.

I just laughed and shook my head.

When my friend popped in later, I told him that I informed T. what he did... he was about to yell WTF when I said "no no.... it gets better..." and described what happened... he fell on the floor laughing.

Ah... the days when I was young.

"Up to personal insults again, are we? But then conservatives do have this problem, they really cannot discuss anything without personal insults, personal abuse"

The epitome of insults are done incessantly, without exception by the author of this quote. Every Conservative, Christian, Red neck, fundamentalist, Islam, Republican is tarred with the same brush until most people are so f*****g sick of hearing about it. But maybe that's good because as they say when you point a finger 3 more are pointing right back at you. Anyway THAT is hypocrisy, personified.

As you are no doubt aware by now, it does have an obscene, unappetizing meaning (depending on when and how you were raised I guess) and I certainly have no objection to the term used that way. However I was doing a little research this morning on the political connotation of the term where it is used as slang for Tea Party. This is a seemingly innocent group of political protestors (whose name is derived from the Boston Tea Party). They are apparently a group of respectable citizens who are just sick and tired (like many of us are) of being over taxed. I guess in a situation where it is the Democrats that are doing the taxing, it would make sense that some (not necessarily all) of these people could be Republicans or at least cast their vote for a Republican. Obviously someone with influence finds this group objectionable for it to be dubbed with such an odorous, repulsive nickname. To extend this reasoning I'm beginning to get the idea (since the "Tea Party" seems like an innocuous group) that it is Democrats that are being hypocritical and biggoted, but then we've been told a thousand times that is not possible. Anyone have another answer for this phenomenum?

First of all, anybody who thinks scrotums are disgusting must have issues with the Creator. It is just a reflection of messed up social values. Second of all, what is a respectable citizen (and by association, an unrespectable citizen)? Anybody who gets their panties in a knot over something as stupid as politics really needs to get a life. Now if agroup would demand that our political system come to a grinding halt until such time that it be completely redesigned so that it does what it was supposed to do, I might take them seriously. But as the system stands it is not worth the time of day.
