President Trump has canceled the June 12 summit meeting with Kim Jong-un. He cited "tremendous anger" from the North Korean side.

Not sure trump ever intended to meet with Kim. One simply CANNOT take anything TRump says at face value........

Now he is making threats again........along the lines of "mine is bigger than yours"......... stupidigy. He just cannot treat other leaders with a modicum of respect that diplomacy requires. Bolton and his crude Libyan model.......certainly did not help the situation........

If this is another juvenile tactic......to upset everyone involved......then it is just Trump as usual.

If Pingpong is upset, would it be safe to be near him.

You remember how Kim killed his brother right?
The important thing now is to see what Kim does in response to the letter that Trump wrote him about the cancellation......that included threats.

Kim had made an open effort to start to meet the US demands.. Too bad the Bully in the US is so heavy handed and tactless that he enjoys ruffling feathers in the most delicate of diplomatic situations.

Trump does not have the patience for this kind of negotiation. Both TRump and KIm are game players ........and power hungry manipulators.

Before you jump to conclusions O.B. it doesn't hurt to take a few seconds to THINK. You've obviously ruled out the possibility (one of the more likely ones) that Trump just came to the conclusion that the meeting would be a waste of effort, time and money. We already know that Kim changed his mind about destroying nukes, so what reason could you find in your little brain to continue talking?

I've never seen Trump referred to as Pingpong before. There is certainly sonething to it, though. I wonder which way the ball will bounce this tweet ... or the next tweet?

North Korea says it is ready to talk to U.S. at any time, responding to Trumps cancellation of summit with Kim Jong Un

After President Trumps abrupt cancellation of the planned summit, North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Kim Gye Gwan issued a conciliatory statement, saying the regime was ready to meet with the United States at any time.

Trumps decision did not match with the worlds desire, Kim said in a statement published by the Norths official Korean Central News Agency Friday morning. A summit is urgently needed to deal with the grave hostilities in the relationship between North Korea and the United States, the statement said.

Leader Kim Jong Un had focused every effort on his meeting with President Trump, the vice foreign minister said.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/

On the face of it...... Kim et al is demonstrating a lot more class and dignity than the unpredictable/ volatile Trump

How sad for the USA. It seems that trump goes for the instant fix and instant results .......and instant gratification.........not being cognizant at all of the diplomatic / negotiating process.

and he claims to be a deal maker. (maybe in the world of trumpany )- but that method is not ;a working formula for international relations as delicate as this. (with the cultural components it involves too)

Interesting timing of the letter to Kim.......as N K was destroying its nuclear site - part of the initial
agreement

If Trump did this for added theater and drama........ he is loonier than originally thought. Just when one thinks he can't embarrass himself any further...he out does himself. Oy vey !!!

Mueller accuses Manafort of witness tampering

The Special Counsel's Office has accused Paul Manafort of attempting to shape potential witnesses' testimony and has asked to send him to jail as he awaits his trial, according to a filing in DC District Court on Monday night.

Manafort is currently out on house arrest and a $10 million unsecured bail, and is awaiting a trial in Virginia scheduled for late July and a trial in DC scheduled to begin in September. He has pleaded not guilty to charges related to his failure to disclose his lobbying work for a foreign government.

Tampering with a witness is a crime in itself and it's one Manafort has not yet been charged with.

Manafort's lawyers did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment Monday night
