Alistair Brownlee successfully defends his Olympic title.
His younger brother Jonny, who won bronze in London, wins silver this time around.
Absolutely superb from the Brownlees as the Yorkshiremen (as is evidenced by the Yorkshire flag they are waving) rule the triathlon world once more.
Schoeman of South Africa takes the bronze.
Great Britain are clear of China in second place in the medal table with 20 top gongs compared to their 19. This means that Britain have now won more golds than in any other overseas Olympics, surpassing the 19 they won in Beijing.

Only ONE country has won at least one gold medal in EVERY Summer Olympics - and that country is, of course, Great Britain.

The gold had already been assured but Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark still had to finish the medal race today.
Held over from yesterday, they finally cross the line and claim GB's 21st gold of the Games.

About 25% of the Canadian population is made up of visible minorities, so it only follows that about 25% of Canadian Olympic medal winners should be won by visible minorities.
But what do we have, so far only one visible minority has won an Olympic medal and all other medal winners have been won by Caucasians.
So just what are our whining visible minority's doing anyways, maybe it's time they stop whining about racism and discrimination and start carrying their fair share of the load to contribute to Canada!!
