When I was in my late teens and driving a 1970 Plymouth Satelitte I loved cruising when this tune was on.

Gary Numan - Cars

1. Golden Earring - Radar Love
2. George Thorogood- Bad to the Bone
3. AC/DC- Highway to Hell

There's lots of other great tunes, but that's my short list that most people should enjoy. ;)

I really think opera is a disgusting drowning out of some fine music. That yelling and whaling is rather rude but can be found here.

You must be jokeing, opera is fantastic, Tommy for instance, The Wall for instance and Quadrafinia for instance not to mention tons of old stuff. The stuff is totally different when it's in english, I do agree the German and Italian pieces are hard to keep up with when you don't have a clue about what they are singing.

Ok,so i was out walking this morning and this song kept running thru my head:smile: On The Road Again by Canned Heat. I was really high stepping to it:smile:
Lyrics For: On The Road Again

On the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Goin' places that I've never been
Seein' things that I may never see again,
And I can't wait to get on the road again. On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insisting that the world be turnin' our way
And our way
Is on the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insisting that the world be turnin' our way
And our way
Is on the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
And I can't wait to get on the road again

The best? The following:

HIT THE ROAD JACK.......Ray Charles

(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more.)
(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more.)
What you say?
(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more.)
(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more.)

Woah Woman, oh woman, don't treat me so mean,
You're the meanest old woman that I've ever seen.
I guess if you said so
I'd have to pack my things and go. (That's right)

Now baby, listen baby, don't ya treat me this-a way
Cause I'll be back on my feet some day.
(Don't care if you do 'cause it's understood)
(you ain't got no money you just ain't no good.)
Well, I guess if you say so
I'd have to pack my things and go. (That's right)

(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more.)
(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more.)
What you say?
(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more.)
(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more.)

you must me joking?
(don't you come back no more.)
what you trying to do to me?
(don't you come back no more.)
I didn't understand you
(don't you come back no more.)
You can't mean that
(don't you come back no more.)
Oh, now baby, please
(don't you come back no more.)
What you tryin' to do to me?
(don't you come back no more.)
Oh, don't treat me like that
(don't you come back no more.)

:angry3:........I hate the radio or CD thingy on when I'm drivin. It annoys the hell outa me:

UNLESS it's playin

Hotel California by the Eagles
Any ol tune at all (not a name, dummy), by Credence Clearwater Revival
Guitar Boogie played by Tommy Emmanuel
Some Don Williams.......makes me cry though. :-( not a good thing when one is drivin.
Any Boxcar Willie. Din' he have a nice gravelly old voice.......hadda love it.
Alison Kraus with or without Union Station. Great voice and a hot lady to boot.
The Cox Family fer some downhome bluegrass harmony.

Any "new" country, and the radio risks being pulled out by its guts and left dying on the roadside.
Bunch of insipid, nasal, whining, hacks............wouldn't know a good country song if it hit em in the head..........
