Northern Ontario,
The funny thing is that despite all the speculation of the left wing media.... the whole thing turned out to be an interfaith prayer meeting with next to no politics involved;-)

Instead or relying on Jon Stewart's version (or anyone elses for that matter) of what Glen Beck has to say, why don't you go to the source itself?

Of course, doing that just might undermine your whole thesis.

No, he didn't spew of anything about how Mr. Obama hates anyone. Before you toss out charges like that, it would help if you actually listened to what the man said, instead of relying on what others CLAIM he said.

I just love to see the moronic spew from the folks who have never actually listened to what Glen Beck has to say. I am no great fan of him myself, but he is NOT evil incarnate, nor is he just saying whatever will bring in money.

When I was listening to NPR they basically said this was about Beck mostly and not really a direction.

The guy from NPR basically said...

"I don't really know why they were there...but there was a lot of them."

lol

Glen Beck is like the Ying to Keith Oberlman's Yang. Is that the right analogy? I doubt Keith could get a crowd like that though.

Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people.

Throw any half baked mumbo jumbo into a crock pot, spice it with rumour, innuendo and a healthy dose of conspiracy theory and a generalized grudging amorphous resentment and you'll find an audience... and make a million bucks.

To true, the CBC is a good example of the Canadian version of that, although it isn't as self sufficient.

Do you actually think that it will be any different than what Jon Stewart played? He played videos directly from Glenn Beck, and they are clearly contradicting one another.

Of course, doing that just might undermine your whole thesis.
The thesis, or rather the fact of the matter is that Glenn Beck in the past said the same thing that Imam Rauf said, but now when it is convenient, Beck lambasts him for it.

There's no denying that, it's straight from the horse's mouth.

Why are the usual suspects attacking the messenger?

Isn't that what they cry when they get attacked?

"You can judge a man by his enemies"...to to to true!

My guess is, his detractors that say he shouldn't have been allowed to hold that there, are the same that call people bigots and intolerant for saying the Mosque shouldn't be where it is...

You have to love that kind of hypocrisy.

I feel the same way about Adam Curry from No Agenda. He's usually pretty off the mark, but it's hilarious and mostly acceptable. Beck is just revolting though.
