You wanna carry a .357, move south. Then you can be with the rest of your brainless redneck buddies. Make Canada safer.

Gerry, when met with a reply as thoughtful and brilliant as the one you just posted, I feel moved to respond in kind:

Fcuk off, moron.

I'm not moving anywhere. I don't want the govt making one law for one group and another law for someone else.

What has multiculturalism ever accomplished for Canadians? It is political conflict and new laws most of us do not want.

We have had multiple laws based on race for years. Natives are allowed to hunt with a high power rifle with attached flashlight and fish with seine boats for sustenance and ceremonial purposes. Allowed to sell their food fish too.

He's right.

Come west with your steel penis and try playing cowboy and indian for real. They'll find you blocking a culvert come spring and by then your penis will have been used in several shootings and armed robberies until the ammunition run out.

Even moreso.......there is an ancient right to bear arms recognized in the Bill of Rights of 1689, part of Canada's constitutional framework, but, as I pointed out below, I am not permitted to carry arms for my defense.

The English common law right to bear arms dates back to Canute.......1,000 years........while Sikhism was founded in about 1500.......so I am denied a right 1,000 years old that is granted as a religious right to a religion that is 500 years old?

Outrageous.

Yes Sikhs should be allowed to carry kirpans.....when all of our rights are restored, and I'm packing a .357 Magnum.

Until then, piss off.

Not too often do I say this, but; YAY COLPY!!!:wav:

Quite honestly, Canada doesn't take security as serious enough as other countries like the US or European countries. Some food for thought: Colonel Russell Williams is just shy of being a serial killer, is a sexual deviant and a sociopath and he was flying around the Prime Minister and the Queen.

I completely agree with Colpy's sentiments. Canada only seems to grant rights to minority groups and further takes them away from the majority.

Hell, I carry a tool much nastier than a kirpan all the time. It is a utility knife with a razor-edged folding blade, and it is quite legal. What the hell is all the fuss about?

right, allowing trigger happy morons the right to "bear arms" will increase our security exponentially and prevent predators like Williams. Oh wait, the americans have the same kind of sexual predators and all the small arms in the world didn't seem to stop 9/11.

and tell me, what rights have been "taken away" from the majority all the while extending more rights to a minority?

and another thing, when it comes to "security", Canada hasn't been "attacked" like some other Country's. So, who's security has failed?

Canada has foiled attacks in the past and our troops have also suffered attacks in the past. We also don't routinely get involved in the affairs of foreign regimes so we're not so much a target. And yes, there have been school massacres across the country.

Zero tolerance should mean ZERO TOLERANCE. The same goes for bringing weapons into national parliament.

While they are at pencils should be banned too. What about staplers? Is stapling an MPs eyelids to his forehead an act of religious violence? Japanese are known to find God in seemingly strange items, why not staplers?

What about an Inuit bone knife made from a walrus tusk? Dollars to donuts says an Inuit finds one of those sacred and would never leave home without it. They are minorities too yet I wouldn't deny a bone or tusk knife in the House either.

Meet the mace.

Shiny golden and fancy as all get go but still every bit a weapon as any other mace.

And you bring that with you to elementary school or into Canada's parliament buildings?

I taught school. My utility knife went everywhere with me. Of course, as a teacher I was very unlikely to use it as a weapon. As for the parliament buildings I have no idea. Never tried to take it there, and I do leave it at home when I travel by air.

The point I was making, which you seem to have missed, is that there are many things much more deadly than a kirpan. I took martial arts for seven years. I could do more damage with my hands and feet that any ceremonial dagger.

On the French news in Quebec basically underline that a Sihk was pissed because he wouldn't remove it , but the one before him did without any fuss....
This is like that soccer story about the girl who wasn't allowed to play with her head dress thing , forget the name . The refferie was Muslum and the Mother being interviewed complaining wasn't wearing it ........
There will always be some bozo trying to push the envelope and make a stink about it.
