well if she was pandering it wasn't very well done....it is going to cost them millions

Double True!

she speaks well when prepared, on the fly, she is not a good speaker and does not respond well to the media, at least that is my opinion after watching her last night with a mic shoved in her face

Was she prepared when she made that comment to begin with?

Double True!

Was she prepared when she made that comment to begin with?

I don't know for certain but I would say no because she was answering a media question.

However on Monday night, as rioters engaged in outbreaks of violence, Rawlings-Blake gave this statement. “I'm going to protect people's right to protest,” she said. “The fact that people exploited that does not mean that I do not have an obligation to protect people's right to protest. I never said, nor would I ever say, that we are giving people space to destroy our city. So my words should not be twisted.”

if you listen to her within the context of the question, it is certainly clear what she meant but those words are easy to twist

So what does that tell you about this young man?

Move the games out of that hole.
Hundreds of people wielding brooms, dustpans, trash cans and even small bulldozers have taken to the blocks surrounding the epicenter of the rioting in a massive, decentralized and impromptu cleanup effort on Tuesday.
The size of the operation has grown far larger than even a couple of hours ago, and the mood is markedly different than the tension that ruled the streets on Monday, even as a line of riot police stretched across West North Avenue near the burnt out CVS.
People seemed determined to show a different side of Baltimore. Some are handing out water and trash bags to strangers, while others pluck trash from vacant lots and pick up broken glass. Some were young people who had the day off from school.

Just as a logical possibility for "sacrificial lamb". . . how 'bout the cops who killed Freddie Gray?

The cops that killed Freddie Gray should be buried under the prison where they get to spend the remainder of their lives, because I'm sure that this wasn't the first "roughride."

As far as the looters, I wouldn't bother with tear gas and bean bags, break out the real ammo, there will be a few less thugs running the streets, and a clear example of what happens to looting thugs..

The storekeepers who watched the looters steal everything and burn their business down to the ground, should sue the city as the police did nothing to protect their property.. rather stood 200 feet from it and watched it happen.

The mother of Freddie Gray should sue Baltimore into bankruptcy.

At least one other fatal one and two paralyzing.

Nice sentiment, but you know what would happen.

Already been done. The Supreme Court has held that the police have no duty to protect individuals.

The mother of Freddie Gray should sue Baltimore into bankruptcy.

Just a wishful sentiment.. not really hoping it happens..

That's sad, because some of the shop owners were on TV saying that was their life savings and no insurance.

WOW! $250,000 bucks of the life of her son..

.......................................

Last time I passed through Baltimore on Amtrak heading to Florida, I thought I was passing through the Azzhole of the USA..

I met up with my friend in Washington, DC (who was black) and both of us driving around the rough areas of DC, people thought we were cops.. that was 30 years ago.

The whole situation is sad.. but I loved to see a few incidents..

Mother beats her child for throwing rocks at police.. now that is a parent trying to discipline a troubled kid.

I don't condone smacking your child on the head, but to see a parent step up and keep care of her child, makes you wonder where all the other parents are??

OK, we're done.

In case you're wondering why such an extreme reaction to an isolated incident. . .

UNDUE

STORY BY MARK PUENTE

The city has paid about $5.7 million since 2011 over lawsuits claiming that police officers brazenly beat up alleged suspects. One hidden cost: The perception that officers are violent can poison the relationship between residents and police.

A police statement said: "The Criminal Intelligence Unit received credible information that members of various gangs including the Black Guerilla Family, Bloods, and Crips have entered into a partnership to 'take out' law enforcement officers."
No further information was immediately released.
Men who identified themselves as gang members told WBAL-TV 11 News reporter Deborah Weiner that they did not team up to harm police officers.

Why should I believe either source? But if I had to choose one, it likely wouldn't be the word of a street punk/gang member.

Convert Baltimore into a maximum security prison. Hasn't anyone ever seen Escape From New York with Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken?

your brain is a maximum security prison, no intelligent thoughts allowed in
