"You BBQ with wool and all? I knew you border jumping bolsheviks were strange enough for eating smoked snake but most peaople make sure their mutton is well shorn."

petros, are you even aware of the utter idiocy you posted?

Totally unrelated to anything I said?

Just filled with hatred and and malice?
How do you cook an utter that is filled with red hats and some form of lice?

petros and MhZ, please, please put your weeney little heads together and perhaps you can come up with something intelligent and/or resemmbling human thought process.

Until you do, consider yourself on my "ignore" list.

You have a list? I never get past the thinking of starting a list type of thing. I'll lay off, you already have enough hornets around.

In my real life a place called the doldrums sounds kind of wild and exciting, sort of like being snowed it but without the snow and the cold. Hard to believe the Ocean has places where it is straight as a piece of glass, for very long periods.

See? If all goes smoothly, the fun is taken out of things. The description of heaven sounds entirely "unfun" and dull. So, I'll pass on the rupture.

Heaven??? The doldrums are a stretch of calm Ocean that you would cross when going by boat from Canada to Australia. The doldrums are an 'unfun place', especially for old world sailors. You been in my scotch???

"Me too! Me too! Please!"

cliffy, you have been on my ignore list longer than I care to remember, but you just can't resist any opportunity to needle old Yukon Jack.

Show a little spine and refrain from responding to my posts, if it is such a chore that you come on this forum with such pathetic nonsense as your post quoted, above.

Why and what did you post in this thread again? What context was it in? Did you bring insight? Did it fit in with the dialogue? Was it intelligent?

It takes a certain egotistical frame of mind to think that anyone cares about being put on, or threatened to be put on, someone's 'ignore' list.

For those who use that threat ('If you don't stop, I'll put you on ignore'), do you honestly think anyone out there cares if you ignore them or not? Do you feel that your attention is so special that others actually feel deprived of something if you don't read their posts?

Nope. The Doldrums are what you just described. The doldrums that you mentioned earlier wasn't capitalised and doldrums uncapitalised simply means a state of inactivity which is pretty much what I view your heaven to be; a boring place with not much fun and little activity except for morons sitting around playing minigolf, singing in choirs, and basketweaving.
Besides, I was joking. :D
