Bush raised the scandal bar to new heights. Unless OB is massacring Americans by the thousands nothing he does will compete.

If OB had four terms the Obstructionists would still be claiming inexperience. The right has zero credibility.

It is truly black times for the political right. They must suffer a black-hearted Blackbeard who has blackened their seas by commandeering a Spanish galleon to pirate their birthright.

JLM the term We in this case was referring to those who have only one negative view
of Obama. It was not a collective We in the sense that everyone hates Obama. Leave
that to the voices of doom and gloom..
As for Walter, No didn't sleep through 2010, and the election of 2012 proved that. The
people who matter the (electorate) didn't consider any of the nasty things said to be of
enough Merritt to do anything about the Obama Administration, they in fact re-elected
him for another four years.
People don't care, they want their entitlements and they want a sense of something bigger
than themselves. The political right wing (I should be clear here) the fiscal conservative
right, do understand) does not get it. The Tea Party and the other more fanatical elements
like Anne Coulter think slamming people and digging up scarecrow issues filled with straw
and little else, will distract people long enough to vote against themselves.
Benghazi and a host of other things can happen while any President is in office. In fact the
Bush Administration is littered with them. The difference is the Democrats have learned
how to make the serious ones count and the others to sit on the shelf. Republicans keep
digging up stuff that doesn't matter to the audience, who is the audience?
Immigrants and former refugees, and the disenfranchised. they don't give a damn about
Benghazi. They are happy to be in America with opportunity. They will have social security,
medicare and other programs, they will live much better than the poverty they came from.
The Republicans want to reduce that to a shell or completely. If you want to win you have
to cater to the base and build out. Democrats have done that and planted the seed of
suspicion about Republicans in the minds of the base. All the scandals don't matter.
Only Republican scandals matter in they eyes of the energized and the Democratic base is
energied.

You win:

And so we move into another chapter of the Executive Branch hiding or deleting emails to avoid transparency, which of course goes back to Poppy Bush’s efforts to hide PROFS notesas part of the Iran-Contra coverup. The National Security Archive’s timeline, of course, misses the several efforts under the Bush Administration to either delete massive amounts of emails, particularly those from sensitive days of the CIA Leak Investigation, and the political staff’s use of RNC email addresses to take emails entirely out of Presidential Records Act retention

But wait!

Blame Obama! Blame Obama! Blame Obama!

And the right can only attack and insult anyone or anything that does not agree with their agenda of attack and insult.

Funny... you always try to portray yourself as somewhat bipartisan (i.e both sides are corrupt) but you sure come down on the right pretty hard.

Perhaps it's time to step back from the Left/Right divide and kick azz on the losers in Washington and Ottawa and take our f*cking countries back before we lose everything.

The Republicans don't get it, the more they go after Obama the more all those
immigrants, ethnic groups, women, the poor and lower middle class voters will
register for mid term elections. The current Congress is the most unpopular in
living memory and even the majority leader in Congress is afraid the electorate
will come out in force against the Republicans.

Face it; almost evey member here (regardless of political or religious stripe - just to mention a couple of stripes natch) seems to begin debate/discussion with their grown-up, big person words. After a bit though, can come the appearance of the dreaded asterisks, then the attempts to circumvent that censor using symbols or images.

Things seem to go to hell though when the blatant coarse language, the seven words variations and over the top personal insults fly. Seems the pattern I notice (coupled with the degree to which such posts are reported, infractions handed out and such) anyway. That's where pausing before posting can be prudent.

Most of us fall into the sinner category. It's futile for any of us to be pointing fingers whilst donning the technicolor self-righteous dream coat.

I also think most of us realize that.

Y'all just a buncha friggin' wankers at any rate.

Nothing like the view from 10,000 miles away relative to a full scale war and assessing judgment from a safe chair.

Say, what are your thoughts on Benghazi?.... No doubt the result of one of those terrible home-made youtube videos... Wasn't that poor guy thrown in jail for inciting that 'spontaneous riot'?

Yes Benghazi was attacked and more should have been done. There are more pressing
problems in America than Benghazi. Washington State for example is about to close traffic
bridges forever cause do to low taxes and not paying the bills the bridges are beyond repair.
Two choices. Investigate Benghazi or build roads and infrastructure. Most people will
chose to debate how to build roads.
That is only one example. The IRS most people who are not rich and who don't like the Tea
Party are probably quite happy with what happened. After all the Tea Party and others on the
right were opposed to Hispanics. Actually that is not quite fair. Republicans were not opposed
to Hispanics. They were opposed to illegals simply crossing the boarder and using us the
social program resources designed for American Citizens.
Unfortunately they expressed their views in a combative manner that allowed the labels to stick
and now the perception is that they don't like minorities. The Republicans attempted to whip
people into a frenzy and invoke the old ploy of fear. It has backfired. The Democrats don't use
fear they imply it. They don't state Republicans hate minorities, they merely facilitate the
false belief already there. They are gaining the vast majority of the vote they need and ignore
the issue or re-enforce the belief already instilled in the their supporters. Now its, if you listen
to the voices of the Tea Party which happens to be the new Republican Party you will lose all
your benefits and they will invoke measures against you because of who you are. All implied
never spoken. Republicans keep dragging up new stuff the new majority doesn't care about
and they look even worse. Republicans have a long road ahead if they don't smarten up.
Right now to criticise is to lose plain and simple.

Scandals who cares about this nonsense. people care about maintaining their
medicare, seniors pensions and other benefits they will not vote for those who
continue these attacks justified or not.
Think about it scandal the IRS went after Tea Party folks and rich people. Those
urban voters voting for their entitlements are happy the IRS is ferreting out the
cheaters and those deemed impeding their own goals. Scandal Benghazi most
don't care its so far down the list of priorities its a blip on the radar screen.
These scandals are from the shrill voices that lost the last election and instead of
finding a way to create interest in their views they continue to attack the guy these
people love. It is just nuts plain and simple. Mind you the Democrats like it because
it makes their job easier. When will the political right, in America wake up?
The have set the alarm button to snooze and most Americans don't care about these
so called scandals and Republicans haven't figured that out yet.
I think in some ways you are right. Conservatives really don't have a real stake in the success of the United States of America any more. It's really no longer their country.

We don't like Obama. We don't like the fact we thought we won and we didn't.
We don't like Obama so everything that happens is a scandal of course. The
political right has lost the majority in America. All those the Republicans didn't
want in America are there, and they are coming out to vote in droves against,
you guessed it the Republicans.
The old guard of a nice conservative America is on their way to the showers as
the new image (remember those huddled masses) they have amassed behind
the Democrats and I think you'll see them show up every election for at least the
next few.
The problem for the Republicans and its a serious problem, they have lost their
credibility with the majority. The could in fact implode in the mid terms and that
is not good either. The real fiscal conservatives the valid people to hold their
parties mantle of power are frustrated by the Tea Party Rabble they are stuck with.
Yes I said rabble, these people have no concept of how institutions operate or what
they do. And the majority of Americans are getting tired of them.
Incidentally, Obama hopes they keep it up it makes his job easier, imagine everything
is a scandal and poor us and well it goes on like some well worn joke repeated over
and over.
What do the USA and the Soviet Union have in common?
