No, you brought it back on track. Love the Plane crash one!

ONe thing I beg to differ with in the first article - Americans are fully aware of CDN involvement in Afghanistan, and are greatful for their Ally To The North.

Well, they are now....this article was from a few years ago.

Those Canada Day quizzes are an embarassment. The same 100 historic facts regurgitated as if repeating them over and over ad nauseum make them many more significant. They come across as a Trudeauesque 2 nation propaganda launch about central Canada with a few crumbs thrown out to the regions.

Phony history about how wonderful Confederation was (dictated by London) and how we beat back the Americans in the War of 1812 (they don't mention that it forestalled democracy in Canada for over another 100 years).

America's schools only teach stuff and ram patriotism about the USA in the classrooms. Most countries teach you about the world and other countries but not america. Rah Rah were #1 is all they teach. Not too many americans I have met know anything about outside of america. They dont appear to teach that topic.

um, a lot of U.S. kids leave school w/out knowing shit about America, so your assessment isn't 'right on the mark'.
Also, foreign issues are taught, some students learn & some don't.

I see a few americans thinking it's a double standard.
sadly it's actually not at all.
canadians know a lot about american culture and even more about their politics then actually americans..
that's mainly due to the fact that a law passed in america long ago that allowed the media to be bias and or mislead the public (hence fox news).
it's completely illegal in canada to publish anything that isn't completely fact checked so we tend to know the truth about your politics before any of you do. especially with the whole obama thing.
like seriously,
do any of you follow what happens in your congress and senate?
everytime the republicans are criticizing obama for failing to pass a bill it was the republicans themselves who blocked it
and you all blame him??!!
it's too much to handle watching.

I have nothing against americans though.
I just really don't like ignorance,
so try to work on it instead of complaining about being ripped on..
all you have to do is research your "facts" before you call them facts
and get some of your news from outside of the box.. like the BBC world news or CBC
that's where you'll get the truth.
If you guys stop acting like a bunch of insane assholes
then we'll ease up on making fun of your a little.
other than that, it's fair game.
you can make fun of us for all of our retardedness like how an assassination in canada is a pie in the face :)

Congratulations, tempestmichael!

You resurrected a six-year-old clinically dead thread just to display your very own colossal ignorance.

There could also be a thread 'Canadian Ignorance About America' which has been shown on here more than one occasion but why waste the bandwidth..

I think you should start it and test our knowledge on commonly known things about America.

That would be fun. Would they be reality based or the Disney version? I like the one about the guy with the ox named Babe Ruth that cleared all the trees in Minnesota.

HA! Man do Canadians know about Americans or what! heh heh

Now that I think about it, wasn't Sonny Boy Williamson the blues man from Little Rock or somewhere around there? He was called King Biscuit so maybe that who you are talking about.

Nothing brings out the "true patriot love" in Canadian, than chance to go Yankee-bashing.
