Real heros are ghandi, and others who love their own people and will stand
up for them without violence and hatred.

I appreciate your sentiment, but unfortunately Bin Laden (if he's still alive) is not a power seeker, he's a power possessor. And he ain't gonna be gone in four years.

I suppose you're right, he was a power seeker, now he is a power possessor.
He is also sick, and might just be existing somewhere under medical care,
trying to stay alive, (if he is still alive).

Whereever he is and whatever his condition, I'm sure there's a thousand more just like him waiting to take his place. What bothers me is there as so many people in our country to day, who think that somehow we (and the Americans) are at fault for these ***holes (because they don't approve of our extravagant way of life). I may not agree with it either but it's not a good reason to be wiping out world trade centres along with 3,000 innocent people. (And I'm not interested in hearing someone try to justify it to me)

For a young fella like me, shovelling snow is light exercise, took me over half an hour though, close to 6" of fresh stuff on the ground.

Why have I suddenly lost my appetite for breakfast?

Now get your hairy little ass back out there and finish that drive way!!

Does it really matter if we call them "Al Qaeda" or some other name we know they exist - surely enough people have been killed by raving lunatics with bombs strapped to them and people planting mines- I'm quite happy with the name "insurgents". We know among the Islam there are a lot of detrimental people.

I don't agree that Al Queda is a "propoganda campaign. Their strength and viabilty have been "pumped up" by the US propoganda machine to be somehow "superhuman", but they still exist as a terrorist organization.

take out the "bombs strapped to them" and "Islam" and you could be describing Israelis or the US invasion force in Iraq. There's not really that much difference

It's more to the point that they don't particularly care for us trying to wipe out their way of life. I don't recall legions of Taliban wading ashore in Halifax... bent upon taking the armoury out.

There is no legitimate justification for the attack on the trade centers, bin laden has no credability, and his reasons for doing dirty deeds are not connected
to any wrong doing by the u.s. or any other country he attacks. He pretends
he is speaking up for the islamic people, he isn't, he couldn't give a rats ass
for them or for anyone else.
The u.s. has done awful things re: Iraq, different story different discussion,
nothing to do with bin laden. Talking about what he did is no different than
talking about the guy who did the Oklahoma bombing, and killed all of those
children and others.
Bin Laden should never be admired for stepping up for 'his' people, that is a
bunch of crap.
