Hey, you were lucky, when I was a kid it was lime and I'm talking the sinus clearing variety.
There was no hole in the ground though, just a pail and a garbage bag.:x

No kidding. I tell my wife she should register her nose with the Dept. of National Defense. It's that sensitive. Even when I'm downwind and let one go she can still sense it. Amazing. I do it sometimes just to test her abilities. I stopped doing it under the covers at night since the time she elbowed me and cracked three ribs. The bandages come off next week. But yeah, very sensitive nose indeed...because women have a much more sensitive sense of smell than men...
You're lucky. Les did that to me a couple times in one week so I attached a whitefish to the bottom of his truck seat. (Thanks to the people that made "Grumpy Old Men" )No kidding. I don't like aerosols. Would a spritzer do?Anna, if you can fit that whitefish smell into an aerosol can then you might have something.
Good point. Unfortunately not all odors are due to dirt n stuff. We're into "green" cleaners too...water! Mind you, we heat it up in a steamer first, but does a heck of a job in cleaning and removing smells. The one we bought has a handy little squeegee attachment that does a heck of a job on windows too...no streaks, and no Windex necessary.
