Nope. Obviously we are a distinct and unique culture with the framework already in places thanks to Quebec. We'd be far better off if we handled our own affairs in the manner Quebec does.
Sakatchewan is by far the richest piece of real estate on the planet with Alberta a close second. We've been f-cked over ever the NWT as formed. It's time First Nations got Rights to property and an equitable chunk of the riches of the land. They had jobs for 300 years prior to being stuck on Rezes.

Confederation carried Saskatchewan on it's back from 1905 up until about 15 years ago and now the greedy grasping traitors don't reciprocate.

Same culture you grew up in that was a "have" province until 1992 -2005. 13 years.
In 1982, the equalization standard was shifted from the national average to the average of the five "representative (have)" provinces: British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec. The Canada Act 1982, which amended the constitution, included the rights of the poorer provinces to equalization payments.

Your confederation held Saskatchewan and the rest of the west back since before confederation. Ever hear of the Crow freight rate? That was federal legislated roadblock to western manufacturing where it cost more to ship manufactured goods east than west. How about our dairy supply management where dairy farmers in BC have to dump milk on the ground to protect Quebec cheese producers? Don't know if it is still in effect but up till the late 1980s there was a federal marine fuel tax that only applied on the west coast.
Then there is the whole seat distribution scheme where Toronto area has more MPs than some provinces.
Why did the federal government put a moratorium on drilling for oil off the west coast but not the east coast?

Provincial is garbage, especially in BC. At least they axed the cost from $75 a month to $37.50 but it's still shitty.
Still out of range for young families . You could still buy a new house in suburbia cheeped then the city and available housing in the city was undesirable. The DIY craze might have started sooner if people thought land values were going to increase as much . Also no one wanted to live and raise families east of Cambie where inexpensive housing was . The immigrants pooled their resources and bought up the housing as the boomers escaped . A few smart people bought properties for the rental market and made millions .
My first house was a new 1320sqft 2 1/2 story townhouse in Coquitlam with a killer view of the river and N.W. Whalley for $180K in 93.
