How did they pretend to keep quiet? Don't forget, we're speaking of a lot more lower grade officers and enlisted people than we are Presidents and Chiefs of Staff - most of whom have consciences.
Just supposing. The crazy thing is that because the official "explanation" does not make sense. let alone explain things that went wrong that day , one is truly left to speculate.
These details that folks tend to focus on are but part of the equation. When one looks at the larger picture and to repeat: WHO BENEFITS........(politically, and in other ways ) the simplistic "explantion" that blames a group of social misfits does not wash.

IMHO.........I think we have to consider the possibility ......even probability .....that the terrorists has some "help" this was not an unsophisticated operation that some vengeful sorts could have hatched up and executed with such precision. It was not some sloppy shoe lace bomber type at the helm of the operation. Not even sure that someone supposedly trained to pilot a planes like that in some small flying school could hit the buildings with such accuracy. This was a full on "operation" It was well thought out, and very well , dramatically executed for maximum "effect" with the intent to impact the US population's psyche traumatically.
It succeeded. Are we to believe that the misfits accused are THAT psychologically minded?? The psychological componants of the event are incredible. Who ever orchestrated the event was bright, enough to know what would result from such a mind blowing event
Are we to believe that the so called terrorists did not anticipate the US reaction and bring war into the ME?? So in that sense terrorists shoot themselves in the foot , knowing their fellow countrymen would be targeted for US revenge.

What did the terrorists gain? Have you tried getting on an airplane lately? Have you noticed a lot of American tourists up here throwing disposable income around? Sure they had some help - in lax measures and an almost smug sense of security. They were experienced pilots - none of whom are really all that hard to find. Among people who believe the after life is infinitely better than the one at hand, what does death matter? Don't apply Western ideals and values on another culture. That may well be one of the root causes of the resent.
