Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me 'old,' when I would NEVER call him 'short and fat?' Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!"

How can you let that attitude go?

In your fully biased opinion
Having a slight change of opinion now are you Sleepy? I distinctly remember a post from you a year or so back when you said you weren't all that pleased with Trump or words to that effect! Did the wind shift in Kap? :)

Maybe he actually has been looking at the actual evidence like a grown up in a real democracy would do.
;)
Like they say "changing your mind is proof that you have have one."

I also said not long ago in this forum that he reminded me of circus ringmaster, but that doesn't mean he wasn't effective in leading his country....

It just means that I don't have full blown T D S, and I can judge someone by their actions, and not because I don't like their looks!

You are the one that reminds me of a wind vane!

This train wreck wasn't Trump's fault.

"80% comes down to who was surrounding him"
You just have to look at clowns like Fauci if you want a good example of a PROVEN clown.

Fauci is doing very well by this pandemic . His stock portfolio is through the roof , became a household name and has a book deal . He at age 75 is the highest paid public servant in the U.S. Government service . He’s all right Jack .

You just listed all the reason he is a clown...and also that YOU don't have a clue about him, science, or the actual evidence yourself.
Go have someone who isn't still in highschool read you the pandemic thread ( and the appropriate sources INCLUDING FAUCI HIMSELF).
;)
Way to blow bud...

just for YOU:

The Exalted Dr. Fauci Changes His Mind Again Because Our Experts Are Cowards

Dr. Anthony Fauci appears to have threaded the needle. The past few months he’s been making the media rounds attempting to up his profile for Joe Biden, who has now committed to keeping Fauci in a top advisory role regarding the coronavirus. Of course, that’s a completely different issue than whether Fauci deserves to retain that job. The answer to that question appears to be a resounding no in my opinion.

Which is also exactly what I said was going on, WITH CITATIONS, above.

I'll make two points which I think are valid. I don't see how a leader can be effective when his country has one of the worse death rates in the world from Covid 19 and I'll repeat for the umteeth time re your comparison to a weather vane. There is nothing wrong with changing an opinion when a situation or condition changes. With politicians all they can reliably promise is "to try". Anything more is bull shit! :)

More than anything else, Trump's complete bungling of the pandemic response cost him the presidency. There were other reasons to be sure, but the fact that he left so many Americans swinging in the wind was the big one. Had he been proactive from the start instead of trying to sweep it under the rug because he was afraid it would make him look bad, the numbers would be a fraction of what they are today. Instead he took the greatest superpower in the world to a place where the rest of the world looks at it with pity while it quickly closing the gap on 28 million total cases and half a million dead. Put that together with all his lies, cheating and profiteering it amazes me that there are still enough people out there willing to lap up his snake oil to the point that he still has some semblance of political power.

You've hit the nail right on the head and as far as Dr. Fauci is concerned about the only connection he had with death rate is from the people who thumbed their noses at the ideas of masks and social distancing etc.
