Survival of the fittest dosn't mean what you thinkit does. While you love TWOT (the war on terror) it's declaration was the end of you and proved conclusively that you are not the fittest. I don't really blame you for the way you think, your government has conditioned you very well. The US attacked Afghanistan to catch Ben Laden. Where is he? Why have you not been able to catch him? How did you expect the people to react? They were defending their country against an invading army, you would have done the same in the US. They didn't attack the US, even your government says Ben Laden did, not Afghanistan. If you want the man go after him but don't destroy a country on your way. Okay, I've had about enough of this, but I'm going to explain what happened to the USS Liberty again............for the dozenth time, I'm sure.

The Liberty was 13 miles off the coast....a position which made Commander McGonagle nervous enough to ask for a US destroyer escort (denied)........the Liberty was then been ordered to withdraw to outside 100 miles off the coast......but the orders were misdirected.

The Israelis had repeatedly asked for a naval liason with the US, and were denied.

At 11:24 AM there was a huge explosion at al'Arish.........an accidental blast at an ammo dump......but the Israelis concluded they were being shelled by Egyptian ships, as they had been the day before, and vectored fast movers in to look for those ships.

The Israeli navy and the Mirages found the Liberty..............

If it was some kind of plot or conspiracy, two questions need to be asked:

!. WHY?

2. Why didn't they finish the job? The attack was called off while jet fighters still were on the scene with payload to deliver.......
