In a campaign of self inflicted wounds i think the stupidest was Trump's claim that election was rigged. It made him look like a LOSER, someone who has tossed in the towel before the final round and is looking for an excuse to assuage his wounded ego in defeat. The last thing you want to do is deflate your base by the declaring their vote is futile and the outcome already determined.
He can still win. He's got an agenda whose time has come, and he's up against a disaster of an opponent.. lacking energy, vision, integrity.. who would have a disastrous Presidency filled with all of the disassembling policies that have ripped the economy and society of America apart over the last 50 yeas.
All he has to do to maximize his potential is stick to issues.. TRADE, corruption, sovereignty, security, SCOTUS.. and not shoot himself in the foot with baseless conspiracy theories. Tell voters that the media has run an orchestrated campaign to smear him.. that's obvious.. but do not start flailing around with 'rigged' elections.
Hillary (or her 'handlers') are conducting a campaign of distraction, fully abetted by the mainstream media. Trump's job is to refocus on the issues that brought him here. Do not even engage in a cat fight with her, she's far too cunning to lose on her own feline turf.
I'm confident The Polls are inaccurate, at least those showing a 8 to 11 point lead for Clinton (and they ARE likely Rigged.. but who cares, only one counts at the end). Both Hillary and Donald are likely each at around 40 -42% of the vote. 10% will go the third parties which means the 6 - 8% of the undecideds.. if they vote at all.. will determine the outcome.
I expect there could be an upset, and all the self congratulatory assertions by pundits that this election is over, with Clinton a landslide victor, will prove very premature. Given all that has happened in the primaries, in Brexit, in the mood of the electorate does not skew to electing a careless arch conventional, status quo candidate with no imagination, understanding America's founding values or empathy with its current distress.. like Hillary.
