I suggested we limit Muslim immigration. That means if you want to come to Canada, you demonstrate your understanding of western concepts like democracy, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the equality of women, and you swear to uphold them. If you show up with your wife dressed in her own personal tent, you do not get in. Nor does she.
I also suggest we ban the veil while driving, in all courts of law, while voting or taking oaths, and while working in gov't offices.
Salim Mansur, Tarek Fatah, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, are all Muslims (or, in Ali's case, ex Muslim) that I would welcome to Canada.
