Maybe it's because the percentage of Americans who are Latino has increased, and how most Latinos are Catholic.
In any case, women don't "use" withdrawl. Guys "use" withdrawl.
When a woman does it, it's called "pushing off".

Condoms are dirt cheap NOW. Compared to the income most of me buddies and I had years ago-----they were the difference between a full tank of gas and a six pack vs. a kid...................guess which one most chose ??

They still do. Sheep-gut condoms are the best for preserving sensation, so they're still considered the best, albiet not the cheepest.
The catch is, they won't stop viral transmissin, so they're not recommended to gays if the goal is to block HIV transmission.
Europeans have been doing using sheep condoms since before prehistory, and not just Europeans... Native Americans practiced birth control, and they used the gut of deer.

It's also going down a road towards eugenics, if some bureaucrat has to say whether or not society wants them to be able to procreate.
