I was talking with someone else about a place near Van.Is and just now I realized you were talking about your picture. I have never been there or even actually to Sproat Lk were JLM thought it was. I guess it's one of those "by a lake in almost anywhere, BC" pics. The place JLM is talking about is only a few miles out of town and while we pass by it on the hwy. I've never stopped there. Maybe this summer when we go camping. Not likely we will pull our trailer over to the mainland. Ferry is too pricey for trailers, trucks, and people all on one visit unless we were going for a couple of weeks. We mostly do 2 day trips and do lots of them.
It looks like a very nice spot. I had never heard of Alouette Lake - just Alouette River which is the name of a Correctional Institute. Lots of break outs there so it's in the news alot. From what I gather the two places are pretty much one and the same.
Looks like Sproat Lake.
I like your pic. It looks so very familiar. I feel like I have stood right on those very rocks.
