Is there something special or particular to/in the county that would attract so many of these establishments?

People really like their pizza there.... and besides most of the immigrants in Pictou County being greek, I can't really say.....
It's just been something that had a great market there and built up over time.... There are two pizza places in New Glasgow that have been the best pizza I have ever eaten anywhere else, Sam's Pizza and Acropole Pizza.... I have never had pizzas like theirs anywhere else yet.
And there is a certain "style" to how they make the pizzas there compared to other places, such as in the Halifax area, or even the south shore.... it's just so damn good.
I know of a few people who are now working out west and they get their family to air mail their pizza all the way out to alberta.... which sounds kinda dumb to me, as it'd certainly be cold and perhaps a tad stale when it arrived..... but then again, I've heated up their pizza after being in the fridge for a week and it's still better then most of the fresh, canned stuff here in the city.
I think the main reason why there's a big market there, is because there's a high level of quality to be met.... and if you can meet or better that level of quality, everybody wants your pizza..... and for some reason, no matter how many more shops open up in Pictou County, the market doesn't seem to falter for most. Then again, it is like the 2nd or 3rd most populated area in Nova Scotia, so there is a large market to feed.
I know a bit about the background on most of the pizza places there due to my sister working in a few on and off for about 10 years.
