The tell tale for me is his popularity in the Islamic world. Not only him personally, but the whole Jihad movement. Islamist are winning democratically in Muslim countries. That's gotta tell ya something. Seems to me, anyone who's had their religion hijacked would have a problem with the hijackers. Maybe not as hijacked as the PC's insist we believe.
There are plenty of democratically elected Islamic countries, much more moderate than the hotspots we in the west like to deal with. Though the hypocrisies we exhibit don't help our case. There is most definitely an elephant in the kitchen, but instead of dealing with the issue, like an addiction, we use band-aid solutions. Now we're into some chicken and the egg, circular bag tag.
