The notwithsatnding clause cannot be used to override certain rights. For example, democratic rights, mobility rights, and the guaranteed equality of men and women. So Sharia law which states that one man is equal to two women cxannot be overridden by section 33, because gender equality rights are entrenched.

Yes indeed,I always thank my lucky stars that the supremes have decided that anyone who sets foot on Canadian soil is protected by the charter,no matter what they have done in thier past.This mail bomber will be with us for a long and expensive time.
