Hey, where ya been Beav??
Of course the US is going to get "hit", or "American Interests Abroad" at the very least- the latter is inescapable, since there are so many fingers in so many pies, and even attacking US military installations in places where they have no real reason to exist can and will be spun into "Terror" by the MSM
The "war on Terror" is SO dumb it hurts.
And as a final thing about 9-11- well, shock and awe aside, all's I kept thinking was that, after hearing the debates for the 2000 election, was "Well, George Bush did swear to 'reform the American military' and 're-define the way wars are fought in the 21st century'" and it was obvious to me that no matter how horrific the scene (and no matter how or what was responsible, tho I was surprised at how fast the media came up with a largely unknown figure to pin it on conclusively) it was going to be used as the carte blanche and give the US a "reason" to go and raise hell all over the globe... I do not cheer it, but rather view it with a grim certainty taht someone, somewhere, in the halls of power in the US no doubt cheered it, not for what it was but for what it could become
So yeah, in closing, I will NOT be too sad if more attacks happen, same as whenever you see "that guy" who always gets beat up looking like he just got beaten up again- no satisfaction, but a sense of "if you really don't wanna get beat up, figure out why it keeps happening and STOP DOING IT, until that time, I can only feel sorry for you"
Why can't the US return to their much vaunted (and totally fallacious, but it's presented as fact) "Isolationist" period, that would likely end the "war" as it might very well end the "terror". "They" don't hate "our way of life" until "our way of life" is going and stomping all over "their way of life"
