Thought a new thread might be appropriate given the times we are in.

Guessing with the threat of tariffs on Canadian goods we will see Canada increase whichever metric it is related to defense spending. Unfortunately it is money Canada does not have so the snowball continues to grow.

Canada seems to be following the U.S. down the debt hole. The problem I see for Canada in that is that the U.S. has a pretty sure bet that our debt won't be called, because it would probably trash the global economy. Canada's debt could be called without such dire consequences for anybody but Canadians.
