Women's boxing is mired in yet another controversial gender row as two-time world champion Lin Yu-Ting went the full three rounds to beat Sitora Turdibekova, 22, and is now only one win away from a guaranteed Olympic medal.

It comes just one day after Algeria’s Imane Khelif beat Italy’s Angela Carini in a clash lasting just 46 seconds.

The fight ended less acrimoniously than yesterday, with Lin and Turdibekova touching gloves after she unanimously took victory.

However, the pair did not embrace or congratulate each other and the defeated boxer left the ring quickly refusing to stop to talk to reporters.

Bouncing around the ring above Turdibekova, she made a series of explosive punches against the Uzbekistan sportswoman as she found her range and used her superior reach to rain punches from further away.

She dominated the first round, fighting hard as her opponent only scored one point.

Darting around the ring as she brutally persued her opponent, Lin struggled to make a conclusive punch but repeatedly showcased her strength as she landed thudding blows.

In the second round she already had an unassailable lead as she got all five scorecards in her favour.

Turdibekova put up a brave fight, landing shots and showing her effort as she tried to get inside the fighter's reach.

So she fought, landed blows, just not enough to add points.

So she lost.

And? Someone wins, someone loses.

So to the opinion of all here, Victor should not be playing basketball.

Or is it Yuki?

She was previously barred from women's sports because of the XY chromosome

Allegedly. IBA did not confirm it, though I did read rumor of it being leaked by the Russian leader of the IBA (which explains much).

You can't change science.. crymore, and grow a brain. XY is a dude.

No, you can't.

Her chromosomes say - allegedly - XY, but she shows XX genitalia.

Which is it going to be that determines gender - the body parts or the chromosomes?

The one's crying about this are people like you, Boom.

As for growing a brain, I do have one; it's proven you don't.

As I was walking home from work tonight I saw a newspaper stand outside a petrol station and looking at The Daily Mail they had on their front cover a story about how a male boxer who identifies as a woman was allowed to fight a female boxer at the Paris Olympics. The Daily Mail pointed out that are sportswomen going to end up being killed by the current Leftie fad of allowing men - bigger and more powerful - to compete against women in sports?

The boxing match saw a man from Pakistan who identifies as a woman fight an Italian woman. Needless to say, the Pakistani man won.

This Paris Olympics has been a bit of a shit show. Bring back London 2012, the best Olympics ever. Not that I'm biased. It had a great Opening Ceremony unlike this one and was very well run, unlike this one. Just yesterday the rowers were barred from rowing because the Seine is too polluted.

JFC you can't even get the story straight.

Khelif isn't from Pakistan, she's from Algeria.

She's not a man, she's a woman.

She won because the woman she was fighting from Italy got a bad hit and bowed out of the ring.

Khelif has been beaten by other women before so there's no reason to claim she somehow is dangerous.

Seriously Blackie this is pretty horrible even for you.

Imane Khelif, a male boxer who was banned from the Women's World Box Championships in 2023 because he is--SURPRISE!--a man, has just been cleared to compete in women's Olympic boxing in Paris.

Soon, the whole world will get to watch a man repeatedly beating a woman, with the intended result of knocking her unconscious.

That makes Khelif a coward, a liar, and an abuser.

And it makes the International Olympic Committee--they of the drag-queen, gender-bending, golden calf sacrilege of the opening games--complicit.

Where's your outrage over the child rapist?

Or is that okay because he's a white European?

(Btw, Khelif is a woman)

I am putting this here considering the Khelif topic.

Not that it might help people get it... but it's information that goes beyond the typical high school Biology class most have.

Holy cow… I bet it’s been at least 15 years since I’ve seen an actual paper newspaper. I mean, I guess they have to exist somewhere…. But they’re kind of like 8-Track players. They’re out there somewhere, but you just don’t really see them anymore.

Are paper newspapers common there still?

The International Boxing Association (IBA) will award Italy's Angela Carini, who lost her welterweight round-of-16 bout against Algerian Imane Khelif at the Paris Olympics in 46 seconds on Thursday, $50,000 in prize money, it said on Friday.

Carini pulled out in the first round after the Algerian, who is at the heart of a gender row, pummelled the Italian with a barrage of punches.
The IBA, which was stripped of its international recognition by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) last year, said Carini would receive $50,000, her federation a further $25,000 and her coach an additional $25,000.

Welterweight Khelif next takes on Hungary's Luca Anna Hamori.

Differences of Sexual Disorder (DSD) are a group of rare conditions involving genes, hormones and reproductive organs. Some people with DSDs are raised as female but have XY sex chromosomes and blood testosterone levels in the male range.

The IOC said the rules of eligibility were based on those of the Tokyo Games in 2021 and could not be changed during a competition.

Dude is a doctor & he claims not to even pretend to know the answer let alone the solution to the DSD presence in woman’s sports competition. It’s not clear cut black or white.

On August 3, Algerian boxer Imane Khelif returns to action at Paris 2024 for a quarterfinal match against Hungary’s Anna Luca Hamori in the welterweight category (66 kgs).

You don't read the Regina Leader Post? My dad still subscribes to the Saskatoon Star Pheonix. He said they are both the same paper now published out of Estivan.

Why don't they stop all this bullshit and have she/he/it submit to a physical exam to prove what she/he/it really is?
