So, just to make a comment about the first part of this video where the stats on US Veto power and Israel stands.

What the US has done, is what modern parents have done with their kids. They've allowed Israel to get away with things that should be at least held accountable somehow, if only to say 'that's over the line' and in so doing, Israel now knows nothing will happen to them, no repercussions vs. what might happen with other countries...

They can do what they wish.

And you wonder why there's a backlash world wide over this?

Now, I know everyone else here is going to whine about how Israel shouldn't be held to those standards and Palestine deserves what they get, blah, blah...

I'm not going to repeat myself for the upteenth time over how Hamas is evil. Rather I've serious questions for you lot and trying to get the why's.

The people of Israel are not only losing faith in their government, despite the barbarity of Hamas' attack, they're turning against it because they realize if this continues, no further hostages will make it home alive (which anyone sane could have predicted from the get go). So question one - If the Israeli people are losing faith, why are there people who continually ignore these Israeli's and instead side with the extremists who want this war to continue until Hamas (you hope) is wiped out for good?

And speaking of...

Polling numbers between October and November showing some interesting things.

Side question - why is it okay to bomb or bomb near hospitals? Why can't Israel send in it's special forces people to root out Hamas people in that area, reducing the risk to those inside said hospital?

Set aside the blatant racism... give a real, honest reason why this is acceptable? And I'm not denying Hamas uses such places as shields, and people in the war know this, but WHY is it acceptable to disregard this? Can you, in answering this, honestly admit if this were Russia, or China, or any other nation doing this near a hospital, it would be "okay"?

So the second question - Is this entire fiasco worth it, if it's only going to elevate Hamas, destroy the PA - which at least Israel could try to work with - and ensure that the issues continue for another two generations?

At this point Netanyahu has admitted full out that Israel will control Gaza, the Palestinians there will be removed (by whatever means) and denies a two-state solution with Palestinians. Which goes against EVERYTHING that was agreed upon for the founding of Israel.

There are over 25,000 people dead (estimated). Is that enough blood for the lives lost on Oct 7th? How many more need to die to equal things out? Because let's talk reality, what Israel is doing isn't trying to get hostages back - and if you think it is please explain how that's going to happen with indiscriminate bombing and refusal to work for anything to release the remaining hostages? - it is using Oct 7th as an excuse for not only revenge, but to remove Palestinians in Gaza for their own "From the River to the Sea" (which I suppose is okay to say because it's Bibi saying it?).

How many will honestly admit that how they feel about the destruction of the people in Gaza isn't because of Hamas, but because of racism/anti-Islamic sentiments?
Yup, Israel must be held to a higher standard than everyone else, even tho' they already do an exceptional job in ensuring that Palestinian citizens are warned before each attack. Guess that's still not enough. So, how is Israel supposed to convince Hamas NOT TO USE THEIR POPULATION AS SHEILDS?

If Israel wants the "feel good" support it think it deserves, it should look to the West.

For all the support it might have in polling, there ARE people who live in Israel against what's going on.

I'd suggest looking at what these people are not only saying, but living through, as proof that Israel is more and more becoming what it claims to hate. And maybe it's not so "free" and "Democratic" anymore.

And then there's those who recognize the genocide their country is doing, and demanding it be stopped. But of course; crickets.

"During my time here, I have managed to meet a number of released detainees. These are men who were detained by Israeli Security Forces in unknown locations for between 30 to 55 days. They described being beaten, humiliated, subjected to ill-treatment, and to what may amount to torture. They reported being blindfolded for long periods – some of them for several consecutive days. One man said he had access to a shower only once during his 55 days in detention. There are reports of men who were subsequently released – but only in diapers, without any adequate clothing in this cold weather.

What they told me was consistent with reports our Office has been gathering of the detention of Palestinians on a broad scale, including many civilians, held in secrecy, often subject to ill-treatment, with no access to their families, lawyers or effective judicial protection. The families of detainees – believed to number in the thousands – have not been provided with information on the fate or location of their loved ones."

This shit right here? If it were any other country, there'd be cries even from the US about how this isn't right and something needs to be done. But because it's Israel, again, crickets. But then, maybe Israel learned this shit from the US - Abu-Ghraib anyone?

I don't care WHO does it - Israel, Hamas, the US, China, Russia, Canada - ANYONE who treats people - even prisoners taken in a war situation - like this are fucking disgusting monsters who deserve to have the same done to them.

What Hamas did does NOT mean Israel should do this to innocent civilians in return. Not, and claim to be somehow of the superior moral authority in the region. There IS no morality when anyone does this.

THIS is the reality of Israel's actions. They're not just out to "Stop Hamas", and anyone who thinks otherwise is frankly a damned idiot.

No more excuses, no more "Well Hamas did..." no, no even THAT doesn't give Israel the right to be like this.

And if you think it does, you can join their morally bankrupt cult of Guilt.

I’m only about 3 minutes into the above vid, and I’ve a question that I’m sure I can probably find the answer to myself, but here’s what lead to my question:

Dude on the right (blue shirt) says that the UN Security Council has brought 88 motions agains Israel, & the US has Vetoed 56 of them…so a bias. Sounds biased anyway.

Got me thinking…the UN Security Council, what percentage of its total motions (knowing there’s 200+ countries on the planet, etc…) are against Israel vs all the other countries combined? I don’t know that answer yet but it might put the US’d vetoes into some kind of perspective??

Is it more or less that 50%? Of all the UN Security Councils motions (or whatever the term), are more than 1/2 of them against Israel vs the rest of the planet combined?

Keep us posted. I read an article on this probably over a year ago now. Can't remember the numbers now, but it was sufficiently high to make one think that condemning Israel was their only job.

Specifics concerning Israel and the UN overall.

So a bit of more recent stuff:

As for the Security Council:

Total there: 44

Not the article I read, but the numbers seem to be much the same. A definite anti Israel bias.

Palestine is demanding a cease fire with the caveat Hamas stays intact.

🤣

I like the idea of Suadis and UAE funding a thumping of all the ME radicals at once as well as NATO thumping Russia even if it means 2 or 3 kilotonne nukes popping off here and there.
