I don't think so. Granted, if they can make it all go away, they will. If they can't make it go away, they are going to set up an inquiry that will look closely at something irrelevant that happened while Harper was PM. Or tie it to the conservatives talking to the lady from Germany that was here.Let’s fix that .
The liberal government will simply ignor the call for an inquiry .
You have two words in there the left do not like. Honesty and integrity. They simply can't win an election with those as the parameters. With regard to your last sentence, I disagree that in that it's not only his problem but ours as well.
We have lived the last 40+ years with disagreements BUT they've not been as divisive as it is currently. I still maintain the whatever disagreements we had in the past, it's NOTHING like we have today and this needs to be rectified by having a government that is honest & has integrity. Apparently, those attributes no longer are in existence as we are now experiencing.
Should have been the Red Green Show , at least he is handy in a no b.s. kind of way .NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says he is not “ruling out” making a public inquiry into foreign interference a condition for continuing the governance deal with the federal Liberals, but says that is not a decision he is making just yet.
Soooo….he’s not ruling out…& he’s not ruling it in….so….he’s not really doing anything…but he could, and he might, or he might not…so….it’s pretty much the status quo since Justin & Jagmeet came out of the closet in late January of 2022.

'That's something we absolutely have the ability to do,' NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said about revisiting the confidence-and-supply agreement with the Liberal government.apple.news
Singh told The Roy Green Show on Saturday that he plans to bring up the issue of foreign interference with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during their meetings on the confidence-and-supply agreement signed between the New Democrats and Liberals.
I listened to this show. When asked direct questions directly, he non-answered like a ….good liberal party member?
“I’m not precluding in any way ruling out that it could come to a point that we’ve got to exercise that ability. That’s something we absolutely have the ability to do,” Singh said in the interview.
When asked again:
“I’m just saying that’s not a decision we’re making today.”
Green asked: “The agreement is in play depending on the situation. Is that what I hear you saying?”
“It’s always in play,” Singh said. “It’s going to be a constant question that we ask ourselves throughout the term of the agreement. We’re going to constantly ask questions, ‘Do we want to continue or not? Is the government doing what’s needed or not?’ It’s an ongoing question.”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau addressed concerns regarding foreign interference in the 2019 and 2021 federal elections on Friday. Trudeau said Canadians can be assured that the integrity of both elections was proven by a “non-partisan” supervision and documentation. He added that public inquires are currently being held to identify issues in the federal election process to protect Canada’s democracy.

They will probably create another crisis to put this on the back burner . Quick look at that PP over there .In June 2021, when the House demanded documents related to the Winnipeg Lab and Chinese scientists escorted out, the Trudeau government not only refused to release the information, but they also went to court to stop its release.
In 2021, a court never got to hear the matter, the case was made irrelevant by the election call later that year. The very same election now under suspicion of being under the influence of Chinese interference to try and ensure the Liberals were returned to power.
As early as Monday, a report could be filed with the House of Commons showing that the Procedure and House Affairs Committee has voted for a public inquiry to be called into Chinese election interference. That vote, which took place last week, went down in a 6-5 split with all six opposition MPs voting for an inquiry and all five Liberal MPs voting against.
If the report is tabled Monday, which is in doubt given that it would require Liberal MP and committee chair Bardish Chagger (the Former Minister of Excuses) to move quickly, then a full Commons vote could happen later this week.
Given the Trudeau government track record, do you really think they want this to come to a full vote of the Commons? Do you think that they want to give individual Liberal MPs the ability to exercise their conscience and vote for a full, public and independent national inquiry into election interference that allegedly helped the governing party?
That, to put it mildly, is unlikely to happen.
The Liberal line has been that election interference did happen, but it didn’t cross the threshold of impacting the whole election.LILLEY: How far will Trudeau go to keep public from finding out details of Beijing's election interference? — Toronto Sun
Will he take the matter to court as they did in the Winnipeg Lab case?apple.news
What is that threshold? It’s not defined.
Who decides when the threshold is crossed? People handpicked by Prime Minister Trudeau using metrics that he has set out. It is beyond ridiculous.
So, this week, we could see a show down on this matter and it leads to questions about what the Trudeau Liberal government will do. Will they allow a full and free vote? Will they declare any vote on this issue a confidence motion and threaten an election? Will they allow the vote to go ahead and then take the matter to court as they did in the Winnipeg Lab case? More at the above link.

To hear Jagmeet Singh temporize on whether this latest, huge scandal is enough for him to walk out of his self-serving and otherwise inexplicable deal to keep the Liberal ship afloat, is a separate outrage in itself. What’s to think about? A party leader who will let abuse by a foreign government of two Canadian elections go by without unshackling himself and his party from the government he supports, is not worthy of being a party leader.NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says he is not “ruling out” making a public inquiry into foreign interference a condition for continuing the governance deal with the federal Liberals, but says that is not a decision he is making just yet.
