Question. . . if the only difference is a wee-wee or a vajayjay, and whether or not you (maybe) can, for about half of an 80-year lifespan, incubate spawn, or at least look kinda like the people who can do that, why has that "only difference" been used to perpetuate massive discrimination against the maybe-life-carriers for millennia?

There have been no significant proposals to disenfranchise them, dispossess them, or do anything "worse" than grant full equality. So what are they so damned scared of?

Well, I thought this would be an easy google search & it wasn’t. There’s theories, but nothing definitive that I’ve found so far anyway.
What’s curious is that the ratio of what you’re calling fruitcakes seems to remain very consistent across the human population, which wouldn’t be happening if there wasn’t some kind of advantage to the species as a whole from this behaviour.
What that is? Again, just theories, but where there’s smoke, etc…& I’m throwing less than shit against the wall, but pointing out a pattern that shouldn’t exist if it wasn’t biologically & evolutionarily advantageous for the human species as a whole, as, if anything would ‘breed’ itself out of a population, it would be the non-breeders you’d think…but here we are.
Then, for a tangent, maybe it’s not biologically, but socially advantageous, to have the Alphabet Soup thing happening for us, as if we where not intelligent social cooperative monkeys, we might Not need the Alphabet soup thing but again here we are.

Personally, it's like I said before, the 'fear' - at least when it comes to guys 'thinking' about trans women. - is that lack of understanding why a "man" would want to be a "woman". The lack of actual comprehension of why a 'man' would want to be 'lesser' - 'not man'. That's it. It's a power thing, IMO. I mean it's nearly the same level of why a lot of men fear gay men. Because it's power.
But then you ask women about trans women OR trans men... sometimes women are actually worse than the guys.

Don't think of it in an industrial society but in an agroeconomic/tribal culture. Does the picture change to have "aunties and uncles" that are of variable "gender"?

Yup, I can be an asshole but I haven't lived a day in my life without a transgender being a pillar in my life and having shaped my personality.
When you have 16 kids that survive, you're going to need both protectors and nuturers of both size and personality in a family group.
There will be aunts, uncles, cousins, and generational parents 4 layers thick. Who watches the kids while others go to war, hunt or labour in the fields?
