Bullshit. We were "warned" in the early days of the pandemic that a second, bigger wave of infections would occur in the fall. And right on f*cking cue, voila, But it seems people like you would rather blame the "conspiracy theorists" for it instead because it helps you fell all sanctimonious. Tell me, why can I still order from Pizza Slut or Little Skeezers but the locally owned, independent place that makes f*cking awesome pizza is forced to close down a second time because of Covid? Is it maybe because there's some serous f*ckery going on? Looks like despite the "pandemic", corporations will still be allowed to keep the profits rolling in while the independent business person gets to enjoy a good ol' f*ckening. I wonder why? No, I don't, I know why. They're getting us used to shortages and not being allowed to gather in large groups via the plandemic (unless you're a protesting leftard) before forcing the dehumanizing ideology of dictatorial socialism on us a la "the Great Reset", which stinks a lot like "the Great Leap Forward".
All the Companies CPP has investments in are all up and running.

And yet the actual figures - which show that just two children have died from covid in Canada and only around four in Britain - seem to support my article.

You're assuming a lot of things - like I approve how things are being handled or that I am perfectly fine with what's going on in how Covid has been handled. That I blame conspiracy theorists instead of those who should be blamed, etc.

I'm not. I'm absolutely not.

I think most governments are mishandling this.

I think there's a constant wrong message going on.

I think there's a LOT that's been wrong about all of this.

But your outrage isn't helping the situation and it's part of the problem. You're proving my point.

Thank you.

Small businesses are forced to close with huge loss of livelihoods, yet big businesses are allowed to stay open.

I think there's something fishy going on.

Yes, it's called Government fuking the dog and allowing the ragers like you to dictate some of it's mandate.

Like Jin, you've proven my point; thanks.

So what is your point? Even if you have a point, what do you think the family of the 10 year old thinks of it? I can hazard a guess!:) They'd tell you to shove it up your ass!
And I'd point out to them that while four children have died in Britain from coronavirus, 12 children die in Britain on average of the flu every year, but we don't get put into lockdown.

Are the lives of coronavirus sufferers worth more than the lives of flu sufferers?

Every hour of every day more than 700 children die. The causes of death vary, but the vast majority can be traced down to one single cause: poverty. The leading causes of death for children under five include preventable or treatable diseases such as pneumonia, diarrhoea, and malaria.

So the lives of sixteen children don't matter to you? Not shocked.
There's a difference between the flu and Covid. Until you acknowledge that fact, your ignorance is still a-freakin-mazing.

Nope, but you don't care for either lives, you're using it as a sick way to prove the point you don't GAF about it.

The difference between flu and covid is that flu kills a lot more children every year, yet we don't get put into lockdown. In fact, the annual child flu deaths are never even mentioned in the media and almost all of us don't even know about it.

But then when just two children die of coronavirus you're shouting "Think of the children!" and want to impose crippling lockdowns which will kill more people than coronavirus.

There's just no logic and commonsense in your way of thinking.

Flu has killed more people in England and Wales than coronavirus. So why are we put into lockdown for coronavirus but not for the flu when flu is deadlier?

I don't expect a satisfactory answer to that question from the likes of Serryah.

Not exactly true.

Yes, I am saying we should think of the kids, but not just because they died.

Also, saying lockdowns kill more people than Covid is subjective.

There's just no logic and commonsense in your way of thinking.

If you would stop literally ignoring what you don't want to see/hear and actually pay attention to it, you might realize there is. However, because the logic and common sense doesn't fit in with your world view of "who cares about others, so long as I keep mine", you don't want to even think it exists.

Is this chart per year or what?

Who is reporting on it?

It says "copyright Brexit FACTS4EU.ORG" - is that a reliable, unbiased source of information? (I'll look it up in a moment)

Since you DON'T know my stance on people who die of flu per year, you can't say what my opinion on it is. Or my response to your question.

ETA: can you link the chart to the source or did you just pull it without looking into it at all?

So to answer this is because - as has been told to you repeatedly since the start of the year - it's not just deaths that is the reason for lockdown. Rather it's for how easily transmissable Covid 19 is from one person to another.

It's because it's a 'novel virus' and we DON'T know enough about it to predict what will people be like when they recover (though that is gradually becoming more obvious as the virus lingers).

Those are two huge reasons why the lockdowns.

If you don't think that's 'satisfactory', then again you prove yourself to be a selfish, uncaring creature that really shouldn't be called human.

In the end that doesn't matter to them, JLM.

It's okay if kids are dying from it, because they're not dying in droves so who cares.

Same with adults; it's not the multi-hundreds of thousands, so it doesn't matter.

Meanwhile some of us who see this as ANYONE dying from it is horrible are 'snowflakes' or whatever.

Some of us who have listen to, read, or seen people who have been there having to deal with patients with it and giving a shit about them makes us snowflakes.

Knowing that there are horrible after effects that may affect people for life and caring about that, makes us 'snowflakes'.

I could go on and on.

In the end, no one should give any consideration or care about it because so long as it doesn't effect certain people personally, they DON'T care. And caring about other people is just a waste of time.
well. I would happily be called a snowflake.......if name calling is such an imperative.......than a cold , self centered, narcissistic denier of reality while justifying their denial by tossing numbers around. People are not ;numbers. They are human. The virus could care less about numbers. It only cares about finding a host. There are many silly people volunteering. just think Covid parties. with contests as to who gets i t first. Heck..just think the White house........which turned into a hotpot. And these are the folks that should be an example for the population. Go figure.

And statistics , which have their own importance, don't address the human factor.

This isn't encouraging either. I knew about the transmission to dogs and cats - actually expect it - but wider zoonosis transmissions is... not a good sign.

Yes, it's quite feasible to suspect that all three companies are pushing their own vaccine by speculating on it's effectiveness. In the case of the two that followed the first one, it's suspicious that the followed so quickly.
And possibly the first one would be suspicious for the same reason.

There are billions of dollars at stake that will motivate all three to keep their name in lights.

To me it's more than the money to be made, it's the push to get it out without proper time to determine after effects of the drugs. We might be able to learn short term effects, but long term?

I'd rather take the time to be sure that any vaccine isn't going to make things worse down the road, than to rush out a vaccine because people like Blackie are too goddamn selfish and what they want and need is more important than anyone else on this planet.

No, not enough is still known.

And the vaccine is, IMO, questionable, despite the touted effectiveness rate.
My concern as well. The motivation here is money. Lots of it. The vaccine will have to be around for several years before I even consider getting it.
Fortunately because turdOWE is so incompetent there will not be enough vaccine for all Canadians for at least a year waiting for results won't be a problem.
