Did anyone happen to catch Trump in the ABC town hall tonight? He was grilled by undecided voters on a number of subjects including covid. I found he was amazing in his ability of answering a question without answering it at all. So theres one for ya Twin_Moose, something Trump did that he was good at. One more each and we'll be tied!

Well, there's one thing he has in common with Trudeau! Maybe they went to different schools together! :)

It is my understanding that anyone involved in health care undergo daily checks for the virus. No?
I don't know what the current hospital rules are other than a temperature check. First responders are mostly just doing a self check and exclusion if not feeling well. But other than EMS the rest of us don't have near the same amount of contact with sick people. We only do medical calls now if it looks like a heart attack and the ambulance is delayed. But you never know what you might find at an accident scene. Lots of disinfectant. My hands have seen more alcohol in the last few months than my stomach has in years.

Pete was probably just having a bad day. I always got along with him for the past 10 years. I know he suffers with M.S. & I wouldn't even want to think about "walking a mile in his shoes". Probably best just to "stay away" from him for awhile.
Or listen to him and learn something.

Li-Meng Yan, the Chinese virologist who has been in hiding in the US after claiming that the Chinese authorities not only knew about the novel coronavirus long before the first cases were officially reported in Wuhan last December but who has also suggested Covid-19 was created in a Chinese military laboratory has published with her team of researchers a 26-page document laying out her theory that the pandemic sweeping the world is not of natural origin.

Doctor Li-Meng Yan, a scientist who studied some of the available data on COVID-19 has published her claims on Zenodo, an open access digital platform. She wrote that she believed COVID-19 could have been “conveniently created” within a lab setting over a period of just six months, and “SARS-CoV-2 shows biological characteristics that are inconsistent with a naturally occurring, zoonotic virus”.

Early reports of the origin of the coronavirus, or “spillover event”, were that the virus jumped from animal to human within a wet market in the Chinese city of Wuhan sometime in late 2019.

“The natural origin theory, although widely accepted, lacks substantial support,” Dr Yan writes in the report.

“The alternative theory that the virus may have come from a research laboratory is, however, strictly censored on peer-reviewed scientific journals. Nonetheless, SARS-CoV-2 shows biological characteristics that are inconsistent with a naturally occurring, zoonotic virus.”

We all have bad days with each having our own battles that we fight, trust me when I tell you that I get that. I get the anger, frustration and fear but it doesn't mean you get a hall pass in how you act towards others but at least it makes it easier to understand where anger comes from.

I havent see my wife in 6 months thanks to people too f-cking arrogant to learn.
Should I be doling out hugs?

Certainly not, you should be pissed because you don't see your wife, but does shaking your fists at others change that situation for you in any way? Sounds like a dead end street to me.

And again, if you have information on covid as you claim, that if others learn will improve things wouldn't your time be better spent in sharing that information? Wouldn't that be in the best interest of both you and your wife?

I once heard a saying that said, and don't quote me if I don't relay it verbatim, but it goes as follows: "If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back." I think there's truth in that statement.

She was on Tucker Carlson last night, pretty eye opening with how much info she laid out in a short amount of time, basing everything on tracking of the genome.

All politicians specialise in it I suppose but Trump is especially talented in this area. His feet certainly were held to the fire though but he did little more than spew his greatest hits.

If it hasn't clicked in by now that this is an attack with a bioweapon you probably vote left and cant see anything past your Trump rage.
