While you are not wrong in this case. if my car caught on fire, I should be treated like a victim not a suspect.

And, No. If I decide to file a claim with my insurance, no the police should not be investigating - that lies on the insurance company.
Yes but part of the insurance company investigation is the police report .

Isn't this what the well-armed militia is supposed to prevent from happening?

I don't know, but they must have seen something outside the house, or in the burning cars that gave them reasonable cause to get a warrant.

This has stumped me too.[/QUO

Dear Robert
It has been nearly a month since Bill Blair insulted firearm retailers, equating them to illegal arms dealers.
It was a vicious personal attack on small business owners struggling through the pandemic.
It takes a special kind of cruel to bankrupt businesses, and then suggest the owners are criminals.
It was the Minister’s cruelty which prompted me to post a petition I could present to Parliament in person.
The petition calls on the Prime Minister to fire Bill Blair.
Since his attack on small business owners, Blair has only cemented his title as worst Trudeau Minister.
The reason Bill Blair lashed out at small business owners was because they had raised concerns his vague, rushed Order-In-Council would ban shotguns.
He called them liars and promised the RCMP would never ban shotguns.
He repeated that claim in testimony before a Special Committee of Parliament.
Even on a day when he was testifying the RCMP would not ban shotguns, the RCMP was banning shotguns.
Even a week after the RCMP had listed shotguns as being prohibited, Blair was testifying shotguns were not being banned.
The Liberals and NDP may have shut down the House of Commons, but it does not mean they can mislead a parliamentary committee.
While Trudeau has put democracy on lockdown, Members of Parliament are able to present paper petitions in person again.
The current e-petitions sponsored by my colleagues do not close for signatures until September.
At that point we could be in a snap election called by Trudeau looking to exploit his pandemic popularity bounce.
Fortunately, I am scheduled to be attending in person and I would like to submit our petition to fire Bill Blair as soon as possible, forcing a government response this summer.
While I can present those who have signed our petition electronically, I still require 25 signatures on paper.
If you are able to now, please, download and print off a copy of the petition.
Sign it, and then put it into the mail on Monday.
Remember, it is postage free to mail an MP.
Anyone else in your household can sign it, but please do not try to collect any signatures outside your household.
Keep up the fight, or the right of law abiding citizens to own and use firearms won’t be the only remaining freedom taken from us.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Gallant

Two rifles.

Both .22 Long Rifle rimfire.

Both semi-automatic.

Neither are military weapons.

One has a 10 round magazine, one has a 30 round magazine.

Guess which one is so lethal, so dangerous it must be seized by the government, while the other is completely non-restricted.

Our leaders are tyrannical morons.
