Stills are $150 for a 2 gallon and up. Cheap like borscht.

Uh huh - and the reason you dont hear much about stills in Canada is because if you want decent quality

you must be EXPERIENCED! Every year in places like India - we hear of people GOING BLIND or DYING

because of the LOW quality of what the still produced! The first portion of product is POISON

and it takes knowledge to know when safe production begins!

And of course there is also the chance to blow up both your still and yourself by careless usage!

A still IS NOT a hobby for the home handy man!

It's still in its legal infancy. Hard to tell.

Has increased cost of fuel affected usage decisions?

Ask your "friend"
It would decrease the purchase of government weed.

The raising of prices was an effective way to promote anti smoking and anti drinking - but there was not really an abundant supply of illegal alcohol or tobacco other than the reserves and the states.

who would be better positioned to understand what actually happens at each and every one of Trudeau's appearances than a right wing nut job on the internet who has never been to one.
Well you being the internet nut job suppose you tell us.

Somewhat?
It's the price that determines it.
Did you not look at the link I provided?

Which urban centers the ones that have mass transportation available? Or the ones just running buses? If you get out of the Toronto greater area, Montreal, and Vancouver, what does the stats say about vehicle vs public transportation? Fuel prices have relatively little effect on vehicle use outside those 3 major centers.

Canada’s carbon tax increasing April 1 despite coronavirus economic crunch

Will the plan to break the Western spirit work?

As per the article posted by Ron

For the most pertinent illustration of this we have the April 1st decision to raise the carbon tax. What in the world is this government thinking imposing a fresh tax on fuel in the middle of an economic and health crisis? Our entire economy is nearly in paralysis, hundreds of thousands, even millions of Canadians are under the whip of economic devastation, the country is going into massive debt.

Who with the wit of a stone or a heap of moss thinks this is the time for a new tax on a necessity? Who thinks that raising the price of gasoline for the truckers who keep the supermarkets stocked, kerosene for farmers who are coping with a wet harvest, or fuel for any business that happens to still be trying to operate, is an idea whose time has come?

What more can anyone expect from electing a former, substitute high school drama teacher and snowboard instructor

But like I said, separate if you don't like the facts.

I'm tired of the snivelling.

That's the plan bud... See you and your sniveling buddies later

Ah yes.

If cigarettes were taxed less people would smoke more. Booze taxed less drink more. Fuel taxed less use more. Congestion is due to population, lack of good public transportation, cities that were never designed to hold a population so dense like mile high condos side by side and urban sprawl.

Excellent point!

What with those unnecessary luxuries like food, clothing heat, shelter - why, it only makes sense to do without

Thank you carbon tax and Sunny Ways!

I thought the Blackface story was broke by US Media, and though picked up in Canada it quickly faded away....like the SNC Lavolin fiasco & the groping & the elbow to the tit & Admiral Norman & ......faded away like change in a Crackhead's pocket.....Trudeau's socks got more airtime than most of the above.

He's a real gem, ain't he?

Vehicle use and vehicle choice are two different things. Maybe go back a few pages where I clearly pointed this out.

Pretty much the same stats no? Do try to keep the goalposts in one place it is hard to score when you move them.

I didn’t move the goal posts.

Vehicle choice. Stated it from the beginning.

Behaviour is another story which is also affected by price elasticity.

IMO they are trying to use this pandemic in conjunction with the UN Paris agreement to kick the global economy to the next level.

As we've seen in the past and are seeing now, folks aren't so concerned about global climate warmey changiness so much when the choice is between food, shelter and heat compared to this sad myth of changiness dues to CO2

If carbon output can't be reduced while keeping all those things how did the US reduce its carbon emissions over the last few years while the economy was going bonkers....eh wot?
