He has hardly addressed the incident...... so that tells you something too.
On TV last night we noticed he was not using his usual grossly exaggerated facial expressions; looked almost embarrassed or a bit cowed, although I know it's hard to imagine. Like someone had given him a good spanking.

This just goes to show Trudeau has no balls. Like him or hate him, Harper would have been far more vocal .....
Amazing how some people can turn absolutely anything into a platform for rabidly partisan party politics. Could call it tunnel vision if there was any vision involved.

I'd like to see all the bleeding heart progressives on this forum that are so gung ho against the US explain this news article away:
Iranians have gathered in the streets of Tehran to demand the resignation of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei after the regime admitted it had mistakenly shot down a passenger plane.
Angry crowds gathered on Saturday night chanting 'death to liars' and calling for the country's supreme leader to step down over the tragic military blunder, video from the scene shows.
What began as mournful vigils for Iranian lives lost on the flight quickly turned to outrage and protest against the regime, and riot police quickly responded with tear gas in an attempt to break up the protests.
Ukrainian Airlines Flight 752 was carrying 176 people, at least 130 of them Iranian citizens, when it was shot down by hapless Iranian Revolutionary Guard air defense forces shortly after taking off from Tehran on January 8.

Iran for days claimed that a technical failure caused the crash, before admitting on Saturday that its own surface-to-air missiles brought the plane down.
Iran was on high alert at the time, hours after launching ballistic missiles at U.S. forces in Iraq in a strike that caused no casualties. The missile strike was in retaliation for a U.S. operation that killed powerful Iranian General Qassem Soleimani
On Saturday afternoon, candlelight vigils at universities in Tehran for the victims of Flight 752 began to turn to protests against the regime.
At Amirkabir University, protesters chanted 'Down with the dictator' and 'shame on IRGC [Revolutionary Guard], let the country go.'
At Sharif University, crowds of outraged Iranians chanted 'commander in chief, resign!' The Ayatollah is Iran's commander in chief.

The crowd also condemned the Islamic Republic's paramilitary internal security force, chanting 'Death to Basij.'
As night fell, riot police attempted to break up the protests with tear gas.
Cops armed with shields and batons tried to disperse the crowds, and police fired water canons into the crowds of protesters.

I'm not against the US, not at all. And why on earth would anyone have to "explain away" this news story. What I take from it is people of Iran who are angry over how this plane was shot down. I'm angry at how this plane was shot down.

Re: Ukraine Flight 752

That's if what the US claims was true, which it turns out, it wasn't, there was no imminent threat and thus the act to take him out was illegal

And since the US committed something illegal, are they going to be punished for that?

Or are you going to tell me, once again, nothing will happen to them because they are super powerful and the law does not apply to them?

Trump has already ostracized the US from the rest of the planet. The US is very much out of favor now. It is tolerated...............barely.........but not respected. this isolation might serve as a punishment. No point in getting aggressive with them............ as other methods on a collective basis would be a lot more effective. They might have the military power.......but they are still only ONE nation. and Trump is defiantly not smart....even though he brags about being a ingenious.

This populous anger is maybe a good thing.......as it puts people pressure on their regime. This is concerning to those in power. One more ripple effect from what started all this.

For those that talk about hating America........ does hating ANY county make rational sense?? This is just more of that narrow minded binary thinking........ie: "with us or against" us............WRONG........as there are more options than that. But too many accept the sound bite version of things.

Exactly, it makes no rational sense at all.

I believe Trump has stated that he is a "very stable genius" on more than one occasion.

Just for a laugh:
