at last a use for full auto weapons, the guy who has to shoot his cows before they burn in front to death in front of his eyes.
Burn coal?
What does coal have to do with the ancient ocean oscillations? Indian Ocean Dipole and la Nina overlapping is caused by coal?

Umm no you were discussing 18/19 century Europe. The rest of us are in Canada 21st century.

IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go back about 6 days to your old post commenting on conditions ........................................

in Yorkton in the 1920`s and your specific WHINE that "I cannot believe people chose to live under those conditions"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My response was to point out the kind of conditions that DROVE people out of European SLUMS..............................

TO PLACES LIKE YORKTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you have been ducking and weaving and dissembling ever since!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You offer TYPICAL LIE-beral propaganda and then run and hide when confronted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is an article exposing the massive scale of LIE-beral climate emergency nonsense!!

With some comments of my own in brackets):

Trudeau's answer to climate change is more hot air

By Lorrie Goldstein

While Canada is a bit player in emitting industrial greenhouse gases — responsible for 1.6% of global output — it’s a world leader in sending bloated delegations to the annual United Nations’ gabfests on climate change in the world’s tourist hotspots.

This year’s conference, which just concluded in Madrid, was widely condemned as an abject failure.

But Prime Minister Trudeau did uphold Canada’s sterling reputation for sending absurdly oversized delegations to them.

In Madrid, according to figures compiled by the Canadian Taxpayers’ Federation (CTF), Canada’s taxpayer-funded delegation totalled 156 people — second among G20 nations only to Brazil with 158.

Canada’s entourage was more than twice as large as the U.S. (71) and China (76), more than seven times the size of Australia’s (21), and over 50% larger than Germany’s (100).

(We need to recall that Our idiot Boy DID promise to create LOTS of good jobs for the “middle class” - but ho unfortunate that he did not specify all the new jobs would be for GOVT HOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

As CTF Federal Director Aaron Wudrick noted:

“It’s not clear why Canada needs to send twice as many people to these summits as the U.S. and seven times as many as Australia. Is this really necessary, or just financially wasteful and environmentally irresponsible overkill?”

The answer is that it’s both, and par for the course for Trudeau.

(Considering the size of the carbon foot print created just to send those LIE-beral poohbahs across the ocean to enjoy life at some Spanish 5 star hotel - one wonders WHAT THEY COULD say to justify such costs?? Oh - right- NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!)

(The Conference this year was a COLOSSAL FAILURE!! It was SO BAD that it makes the Paris Accords - which LIE-berals now tell us “are useless and must be scrapped and done over” - LOOK GOOD by comparison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

When the UN’s Paris climate accord was drafted in the City of Lights in December 2015, Trudeau, attending his first annual UN gabfest as PM, boasted that Canada was back on the global stage in fighting climate change.

(Yeah - and our greenhouse gas emissions went UP another 8 megatonnes in the last year - IN SPITE of LIE-beral efforts to KILL the cdn oil patch!! LIE-berals are LYING WORSE than the INFAMOUS Baron Munchhausen ever did, about their lunatic climate plans !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

What he meant was that Canada had sent a huge delegation to Paris — 155 people paid by the federal government — double that if you threw in politicians and bureaucrats paid by provincial and municipal governments.

GOLDSTEIN: Political promises on climate change are fake news
GOLDSTEIN: Trudeau’s hot-air climate hypocrisy

Trudeau’s 155-member official delegation to Paris in 2015 — he didn’t attend Madrid — was larger than the U.S. under self-proclaimed environmental president Barack Obama.

With a population almost 10 times that of Canada, the U.S. had less than 150 delegates, the U.K. about 100.

While we don’t know the bill for Canada’s delegation to Madrid this year, we do know what a similar-sized delegation cost in Paris in 2015, not counting four years of inflation.

The 12-day Paris climate summit cost taxpayers over $1 million.

A partial list of expenses, compiled by ipolitics.ca, included: $234,355 for travel; $349,553 for hotels; $129,423 for meals; $12,595 for hospitality; $11,537 for salaries; $164,529 for operations and $72,000 in payments to stakeholders.

(Oh well - its only money and if LIE-berals let us keep it we would only waste it on California fruits and vegetables or buy new winter coats for the kids or pay some of our debts or some frivolous nonsense of that sort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Among the most controversial expenditures was a food tab of over $12,000 for just three Environment Canada bureaucrats and $6,600 to hire a freelance photographer in France to record the comings and goings of then rookie environment minister Catherine McKenna.

(So these numbers are based on 2016 prices - not including 4 years worth of inflation for the latest junket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Given that global and Canadian emissions continue to rise annually despite a quarter century of these annual UN gabfests aimed at reducing them, they clearly have not given us good value for money.

(As proof that nobody is WRONG all the time - I repeat the words of Greta the Swedish Demon princess - who reminded us that air travel IS the dirtiest way of all to travel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

More than that, they are immoral, because they are glorified photo-ops where virtue-signalling global elites gorge themselves on consumption — paid by taxpayers — while demanding austerity from those taxpayers in addressing climate change, but never austerity for themselves.

(Oh yes- austerity for us and entitlements for THEM!! We must jam ourselves into over crowded and unreliable public transit in order to save the environment while the Entitled Ones motor off to their country retreats to rip around on their gas guzzling Seadoos, atv`s, fishing boats and riding lawn mowers!! The environment is TOO GOOD to be wasted on POOR PEOPLE who typically refuse to vote LIE-beral!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

As environmental journalist George Monbiot has observed of these global elites: “Thinking like ethical people, dressing like ethical people, decorating our homes like ethical people, makes not a damn of difference unless we also behave like ethical people.”

(But............there are NO entitlements associated with being ethical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

It also exposes their hypocrisy and most of all that they do not believe what they say.

(We know that and so do they - but they pretend to believe so they can sleep better at night!! Not only do they LIE to us - they LIE - to themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Because people who genuinely believe the world is facing an imminent existential crisis from climate change would never act this way.

(As WE KNOW - in the year after the 9/11 terror attack -during which time 25 percent of the world airline fleet WAS GROUNDED - there was a MEASURABLE improvement in air quality around the world!! The change was not large but every bit helps - RIGHT???????????????????????????????)

(Or not since LIE-berals continue to fly - and so do their civil service union PIG allies!! LIE-berals are DEVOTED to that “Do as I say and not as I do” MANTRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I am not and have never been a member of any political party
So why did you sneer at me by insinuating I would be? Just to have the sleazy enjoyment of sneering?
Not many independents get elected .
In a party system they won't - exactly the problem I refer to.

I have been giving away firewood for three winters now. Just about got it all gone. The thought of letting citiots lose with a chainsaw scares me.

Are there not cities or counties that have outlawed fireplaces? I thought I heard something about that. Nothing like making sure peons freeze to death after ever increasing utility costs that some can't afford and can't burn wood either because it's illegal. I may be wrong about it as maybe it was only being looked at but I'm wondering if this regulation was ever put in place?

Some places have outright bans others are no new installs and grandfathered woodburning only.

Some to save the environment from itself other for asthma and clean air in general.

A lot of my best memories are tied to the scents of firewood.

Pyrophoric Plants

Perhaps the most amazing fire adaptation is that some species actually require fire for their seeds to sprout. Some plants, such as the lodgepole pine, Eucalyptus, and Banksia, have serotinous cones or fruits that are completely sealed with resin. These cones/fruits can only open to release their seeds after the heat of a fire has physically melted the resin. Other species, including a number of shrubs and annual plants, require the chemical signals from smoke and charred plant matter to break seed dormancy. Some of these plants will only sprout in the presence of such chemicals and can remain buried in the soil seed bank for decades until a wildfire awakens them. The image shows lodgepole pine seedlings growing next to the charred remains of their parent plants following the 1988 Yellowstone National Park fires

There are a few. Comox recently banned fireplaces in all new construction.
But if you live in a city and don't own a truck or a chainsaw chances are wood heat will cost more than a heat pump with NG backup.
