Top Senate Democrat calls for testimony from Mulvaney, Bolton in a proposal to GOP on parameters for Trump impeachment trial

In a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Sunday night, Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) said the likely trial for President Trump "must be one that not only hears all of the evidence and adjudicates the case fairly; it must also pass the fairness test with the American people."

In his letter, Schumer proposed that the trial begin the week of Jan. 6 and that subpoenas be issued for testimony from acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and former national security adviser John Bolton, along with other witnesses who declined to testify in the House impeachment inquiry.

I think I've wasted enough time following this debacle. There's conflicting stories on both sides and no doubt some truth and bull shit on both. Best now to concern oneself with other things while waiting for the "hammer" to drop. Whichever way it goes, how much can it affect us folks north of 49?

Again, that's your opinion. If I were American I would be a Republican because I am conservative (old school conservative). I am just not for Trump because he isn't a Republican at all, he is a RINO and so are his supporters.
Yet he beat all those staunch conservatives with their mega war chests for the Republican nomination while self funding . I think Jeb Bush wasted $105,000,000.00 of other people’s money in that unsuccessful effort .

And some Republicans have dropped the Republican party.

Personally the ones to drop and go Independent are better than switching parties, but that's just personal opinion.

I've more contempt for Mitch McConnell and others who say they've already found Trump innocent when the Trial hasn't even happened yet.

By rights, McConnell, Graham and others should be dismissed for bias, as any other juror in any other trial would be.
What exactly is he being charged with ? Pretty easy to find someone not guilty when you haven’t shown where he broke the law .

Over 1/2 the country doesn't believe Trump should be impeached before the trial.

63 Million Americans voted for Trump and the left are trying to dismiss their choice, is'nt that also biased?
No Republicans are bad , only democrats are pure . And really since when do votes count ?

Actually that's not true, even according to a Fox poll

And?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Clinton#Second_term_(1997–2001)

In the 1996 presidential election, Clinton was re-elected, receiving 49.2 percent of the popular vote over Republican Bob Dole (40.7 percent of the popular vote) and Reform candidate Ross Perot (8.4 percent of the popular vote), becoming the first Democratic incumbent since Lyndon B. Johnson to be elected to a second term and the first Democrat since Franklin D. Roosevelt to be elected president more than once.[141] The Republicans lost three seats in the House and gained two in the Senate, but retained control of both houses of the 105th United States Congress. Clinton received 379, or over 70 percent of the Electoral College votes, with Dole receiving 159 electoral votes.

The election was three years ago. It wasn't known just how good or bad Trump would be in office.

Now we know.

You can't say the will of the people three years ago is the exact same as it is now.

By the way, 63 million people may have voted for Trump, but 66 voted for Clinton. What about their votes being dismissed?

They are actively trying to validate the 66 million votes that lost the election

Yeah, there seems to be a trend...

WV Governor, a Democrat, to Switch to Republican

(4 Aug 2017) West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice announced Thursday he's switching parties to join Republicans as President Donald Trump visited the increasingly conservative state.

Justice told about 9,000 Trump supporters at a rally in Huntington that he will be changing his registration Friday.

He recently visited the White House twice with proposals on manufacturing and coal, neither he nor Trump are politicians and they both ran to get something done, he said.

"This man is a good man. He's got a backbone. He's got real ideas," Justice said. "He cares about America.

He cares about us in West Virginia."

I guess he noticed Soros and his color revolutionary and climate gate pals are buying up the coal mines for peanuts.

Just reported on the news the support pro and con impeachment is virtually 50/50 and Trump's popularity since Nov. 2016 is virtually unchanged. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/
