I worked in Petrolia in '75 as Ambulance driver on the pipeline there....
Is that area still producing?
When I worked there, it seemed like every farm had at least one oil pump jack!

They're still producing. There's been a lot of sideways drilling under Western Lake Erie in recent years that is producing gas, anyway and some oil, I think. I'm not aware of they are fracking around there or not, yet.

That's the World's oldest oil field.

Do you mean "carbon taxes"? They are clearly a general revenue tax grab.

Tightly regulated emissions laws, right across the board and across the country for everything from driving polluting cars, dirty industrial activities, obsolete farming methods with fines and penalties that really matter. Honey as bait isn't working. Shell games like "carbon taxes" and "carbon offsets" are clearly con artistry. You want change? Wield a big, ugly stick. It might just be urgent enough to have to do so.

Why ? Is not a warmer climate a positive for Canada ? Do you believe the political class and public sector have your best interests at heart ?

When three billion people who suddenly find their homelands under water come knocking at our door DEMANDING that we take them in and killing every last one of us when we don't, I will wish for the climate that we had back in the "good old days".
