Dozens of Homeland Security agents and investigators to deploy to Guatemala-Mexico border in bid to slow unauthorized migration

The deployment will open a new front in the Trump administrations efforts to slow migration from Central America. The partnership with Guatemalan officials will target human trafficking and smuggling operations that have been funneling Guatemalans to the U.S. border.

Guatemala says its working with the U.S. to tighten borders, break up migrant caravans

Guatemala is working with the United States to reduce the flow of migrants through the country, its interior minister told The Washington Post on Wednesday, with plans to renegotiate a regional open-borders agreement, break up migrant caravans and subject families to DNA testing.
The moves are the strongest yet announced by a Central American government to deter migration during the current surge to the U.S. Southwest Border. Guatemala is the single largest source of migrants to the United States. Interior Minister Enrique Degenhart blamed Mexico for not doing enough to stop migrants including Guatemalans from crossing through the country to get to the United States

I say good for them. If the politicians won't do it, why not take it into your own hands especially if it's on private property. I say bravo!
I agree completely. If they want to build a private memorial to Dumb Donald on their own time, their own dime, and their own land, subject to the same restrictions as any other construction, I'm all for it.

For any government entity to forbid them to do so for political reasons would be unConstitutional.

Body of 7 year old girl from India found in desert by Border Patrol

The body of a 7-year-old girl was found Wednesday about 17 miles west of Lukeville, in a remote desert area, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.
Officials believe the child was from India trying to cross from Mexico into the United States with a group from that country, according to the agency.
Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents spoke with two women from India, who said they had been separated from three other people trying to come to the United States with them: a woman and two children, according to a CBP news release issued Thursday.
Border Patrol agents believe human smugglers dropped the group near the Mexico border, where they were told to cross the terrain into Arizona alone, the agency said.
Agents searched for the missing people north of the border in remote terrain about seven miles west of Quitobaquito Springs. They eventually found the little girl’s body after a few hours, officials said.

The remote area where she was found is a rugged desert wilderness with few roads and resources. The area had a high temperature around 108 degrees Wednesday, officials said.
After agents found the girl's body, they continued to search for the other two people who had been traveling with her, the release said.
The National Guard and U.S. Customs and Border Protection sent out aircraft and helicopters to search the area. In addition, agents from the Bureau of Land Management, Ajo Border Patrol Station and Border Patrol Search Trauma and Rescue Unit searched from the ground.
Searchers found footprints that suggest the woman and child returned to Mexico; they’re continuing the search with Mexican authorities.
As of Thursday afternoon, additional members of the group had not been found in the United States or Mexico. The investigation is ongoing.

T-bones I thought you said nobody crosses in the desert no need for fencing

They are no longer a "free"people", although you can be sure that they will continue to spin themselves as such to themselves for decades to come.

Before you knock Trump as not a true veteran, he said he fought his own 'personal Vietnam.' Syphilis might have won though.

Like last time?

Your Dear Leader is a compulsive liar. Surely even a brainwashed zombie like you sees that by now.

Or, maybe not.
Not........too far gone. ie "Trump radicalized."

the sadistic inhumanity of the compulsive liar is astounding.

There is the Trump world.........and the real world.. And that is so evident now. Trump world includes admiring every dictator on the planet......while ignoring or degrading traditional allies. This duality exits in the USA now too.......and lines are pronounced. The damage being done by one dear USA) leader is just starting to unfold. THERE IS NO GOING BACK NOW........

Not suer if the US has any true allies left now........and maybe it does not care. The Trump attitude has permeated into his supporters to the point they are radical believers.
Trump has turned the republican party into something unrecognisable. Trump's goal is to make HIS and HIS alone......mark on the planet......if not the universe...........and he is doing just that.-in a very destructive way. The USA is not the USA anymore....it is TRUMP country.......... and that is how malignant this compulsive liar is. ( and name caller) His supporters have overdosed on Trump-aide.

The US is reaching critical mass.......and a defining moment inits devolution.
